I used to play it for fun when i was younger, but we never really had positions, we had a keeper ofcourse, and everyone else running around to try and get the ball to score. :D
Ah i was good, i could really aim well, i'm sure lots of people are better then me, but for those untrained ones i was by far 1 of the best.

personally football bores the heck outa me, its not soccer anyway its football
yes it is soccer to me because i live in australia and there somthing called Australiain football leage and it aint soccer its some kick a ovel shapped ball around anyway...
i did like i dunno when all my life i have been playing soccer i can juggle it for ages never counted but ruffly around 30-50 times and i have my skills plus im fast but i dont shoot i can shoot but thats not my position my position is left midfield thats where i do my best :P
Still do it now and then for fun, and am pretty good at it for a guy whos never ever been serious about it...

Been playing football for about 15 years of my life (and I'm 19-years-old). It's a religion and I follow and play it seriously. Been a season ticket holder for my town (Middlesbrough) for over 10 years and played for multiple sunday-league and 5/7-a-side teams.
I started playing as a full-back when I was young, but I found I had a talent for goalkeeping and ended up playing in that position from about the age of 8. Currently I play in goal for a 5-a-side team in which a few other RZ members play (Gilly, Bazi[Baring] and Steely). We started in a lowly Divison Five league and have won 5 consecutive championships (as well as a couple of tournaments and cups on the way), climbing all the way into the Premiership. What gained our side some recognition was the fact we were unbeaten for 72 games and only lost twice in 85 matches.
We are currently in our first Premiership season and have a good shot at taking a championship title for a sixth time. Wish us luck :)
I used to play it for 3-4 years when I was younger (I was fairly good), then did track&field for one summer (I was ace), then gave up on it and since the year after that I've been into martial arts (love it).

Guys, some places call it soccer, some football... The reason is simply because of localization and the fact other places use the term "football" for other sports.. Wikipedia has a nice section on this btw (google and wiki ftw)
Anyway, I suck at soccer/football, so I can't contribute much more to this thread.
well i play soccer or at least i used to but never really on a team. we still had teams tho and i was usually keeper or defense depending on what i felt like that day.
oooh in the States we call it soccer....if you call it football they think your talking about "American Football" and Sometimes I play Indoor soccer, its pretty fun :)
Used to play alot when I was younger but kinda got lazy and stopped...
Never really had a position as I could play all positions well (even goal keeper if our usual couldn't play) but I preferred left/right wing and also I was always the corner/pen/free kick taker.

i used to be good at football, i was te goalie and trained everyweek at the main club where i live, if i carried on being a goalie id probly be on the team. i just suck now
I thought "foot" ball meant a game played on "foot", not necessarily a game that used a foot to kick a ball.
We can always use cheerleaders :P
