True, but I meant in the sense with competing with iPhones. Apple has some of the best UI's i've personally ever seen.
Re: Steve Jobs vowed to 'destroy' Android
no, im saying that android is for people that like to use thier phones for whatever they want, they are not limited in what they are able to do, unlike the iPhone
and as for the looks of it, that is a ROOTED android device, so he can change whatever he wants on it, the regular android OS doesnt look antyhing like that
Re: Steve Jobs vowed to 'destroy' Android
You guys are forgetting, with Android you have complete control over how your UI looks. There are many different launchers you can choose from.
For some reason, the UI screens posted here are some of the worst you can get.

Thats just the plain default launcher pro interface. Everything is able to be customized, including screen transitions and even the icons.
Debating the look of the interface is completely pointless because there are hundreds of different GUI environments you can choose from. With the ability to completely customize everything you are left with endless possibilities when it comes to the look of your phone.
Pictures don't do it justice, check out the video for a few transition customizations.

Stop comparing the iPhone interface to the stock Android interface. No real android user uses the default GUI.

I do =/
From time to time I switch between the stock Gingerbread look to the 'Android 1.6' look

A good operating system doesn't have anything to do with looks. Look at unix, for example. iOS is just eye candy (but its all part of their business) ... even mac, it is made from unix.
Re: Steve Jobs vowed to 'destroy' Android
The comic made me laugh. :)
OT:
never been a 'mac-fag' or an 'apple fanboy/(girl)' But i really do think not in just my opinion, but if you look at past behaviours, it is another rant he was having, which i don't think will go to far now.. considering hes..
well...
dead.
And if he spent 'every last penny'
1.they would be broke
2.have to close
3.Apple dies
4.Waste of time because they have no money left.

You clearly haven't looked up enough about Android considering your response.
Android is not supposed to look good, it's supposed to be simple and light. Android is a basic OS, having close to nothing on it. It's up to users and phone manufacturers to customize it to their liking.
Bitching about Androids looks is a bit the same as going to a hardware store and bitching about the wood there, because it's not a house yet.
Also how is iOS good looking? IMO it's either not fancy or enough or not basic enough, it's right there in between, trying to be special, but failing hard at that.

In all fairness, pretty much everything in Android was copied from others, but like I said in the other topic, everyone copies from everyone and finding something new and original is nearly impossible.
All this shows is that Apple/Jobs really thought the world was all about them/him.

I guess people show their best side until people reveal what their other half is like. Steve for example, seemed a nice guy and now this was revealed and trying to destroy another company just because it's a rival, fuck sake. They need to learn Android is better than their over-priced products.
Re: Steve Jobs vowed to 'destroy' Android
How did Steve Jobs seem like a nice guy?
Re: Steve Jobs vowed to 'destroy' Android
Ya'll a bunch of fanboys.

I've used Androids, read about them, watched videos, and all that jazz. Androids are amazing. iPhones are amazing. They both have different aspects and differences that other users enjoy. My mom is going to be getting an iPhone 4, which is a huge step from her small feature phone. She wants the iPhone because it's simple and easy. She doesn't need customizations, rooted aspects, a 3.847293gHz processor or 2GB of RAM. She wants to stay up to date while still staying simple, which is what the iPhone offers. No doubt, all the young people are picking up Androids because of the major capabilities. Likewise, younger-than-young people and the elderly are getting iPhones for simplicity, while still being powerful and amazing.
lolololol, You mad cause you paid for an overpriced 500$ phone, when others are getting the same service and more for 199$
You mad cause you bought brand, not quality. :ott1:

Quite ironic as you are one of the biggest apple fanboys I know. You endorse it and post about it being the best a lot.
Also, I was browsing the net and guess what I found..?

This is beyond idiotic, Selling an unlocked iPhone for a crazy amount of money when people can do it themselves? Maybe this was Steve's backup money after he spent all of apple's money trying to kill android.
