Well she would survive... actually the dad of 1 of the cats we have who was from a friend of my moms, fell down from the 5th floor of a flat... survived and had nothing....
Dogs give much more problems though, you need to walk them a couple of times a day, and if you want to go on vacation or something then they are crappy too.
Not to mention if they bark when your gone, or piss and shit around the house etc.

We Have A Dog Pen, They Not In The House All The Time, They House Trained, They Don't Whinge/Bark When We Leave And They Very Friendly

Very friendly means nothing, our dogs are also friendly, yet they are annoying as hell when no one is home, ok sure they should of been raised better, but that's a other story.
Fact remains that you need to walk the dog several times a day, in the beginning you don't care to much, but when it's cold outside, and your watching tv or something and you need to go outside and all then your not very happy, yet you have to do it, every single day, several times a day.
And what if you want to go on vacation, big problem there.
dogs:
shit everywhere,
smell,
need walking all the time,
howl and bark alot,
eat the furniture,
put people off buying houses and stuff,
cats:
you can train to shit n piss in a tray,
go outside and find their own way back so no need to walk them,
clean themselve all the time so their personal hygeine is immaculate,
are cute all the way threw their life (pups are cute but full grown dogs look ugly),
cats also sit and look nice,
however if some cunt broke into ur house a cat couldn't really scare him off, but a og could rip his head off o.0

All of the above are either wrong, personal oppinion, or something that doesn't go for them all.
Dogs can be learned not to shit everywhere, besides if you walk them then that won't be a problem.
Yes they smell if you don't wash them, but you can wash them...
If they are raised well then they don't bark and howl.
Eat furniture? We never had that problem...
How does it put people off?
You call them cute, and a other person doesn't call them cute, all matter of oppinion.
As for dogs, it depends really on what kind of dog, for example 1 of our dogs is still small, and he still looks nice.
Also big dogs can really look nice, so again it's a matter of oppinion.
And dogs can also sit and look nice...
It's a simple fact that cats gives overall less "problems" as dogs, but real dog lovers don't see those things as problems.
I love dogs, we have 1 here, and my dad has 1, they used to be together but were split up when my parents broke up (each dog really was attracte by far to each of my parents)
But they give a lot of problems too, therefor i wouldn't want them anymore, well i guess there is still a chance i own 1 one day, but the idea wouldn't be coming from me.
