Congratulations, you have realized meaninglessness. This is truly a very basic concept to wrap your head around.
Now, move the fuck on and try and expand your spectrum of thought. I'm tired of "why try?" I'm tired of the apathy and I'm tired of teenagers giving up prematurely in their efforts to expand their mind. Understanding the nothingness of everything is essentially the beginning - now that you know this, feel free to create and imagine and fingerpaint all over your small, but very valuable canvas. Make it something beautiful or ugly or shocking or terrible. But don't leave it blank just because "it all means nothing in the end." We aren't at the end yet and you aren't fully realized or enlightened just because you choose to be idle - you're kind of just a downer.
I know that modest mouse told you to build nothing out of something, but realize that there is a time for every paradigm. Feel existential some days, feel charged and overzealous with purpose on others, and feel just plain content, with an eye fixed toward the better, on most days.
"Hitting bottom isn't a weekend retreat, it's not a god damn seminar."
Whoa, positivity. this feels...weird.
