Nope. Besides the point that EvilKitten made, I agree with my initial statement. and to clarify so you don't jump down my throat, I'm talking teenagers above the age of 16 who know what's going on.

Re: Texas has done it again...
I think teachers should be allowed to have a relationship with students over the age of 16, its their choice. If they cant be in a relationship it infringes on The Universal Declaration of Human Rights. I have put a spoiler below of the article in the UDHR which relates to this. (I may be wrong about the article so no flaming please.)
Spoiler:
Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty.

But her point is basically why it's not allowed. The relationship will endanger the professional process, once they are done it's all fine, but as long as either one from the relationship has any power or say over the other person, then that's just bad. You can't fuck your teacher and then sit in her class the next morning, it just doesn't work that way.

But you can fuck your boss and sit in their meeting the next morning.
I'm not sure if this is a case where law must be involved. The world is not a fair place and will not become one by enforcing laws on everything.

Using religion to answer the questions for today is foolish, hell it was foolish back then as well. While I'm not familiar with the texts in the Quran, I know in the Bible in the old testament, it says a woman should be stoned to death if she gets raped in a city and doesn't scream for help.
Only idiots would want to use those words to dictate how society functions, this is also a reason why any decent country has a separation of church and state.
Really, don't bring such nonsense on the forums here, I know the old texts are extremely harsh and all that, there is a reason why we don't use them.
I didn't get into religion, if you think I did, then you're wrong.
Foolish? why foolish? these are Gods (Allah) rules, seriously if you think they are foolish then you've totally lost your mind, if even YOUR WIFE isn't loyal to you, who will be then?, let's take to another side, would you have been happy if this happened to your mother? sister? wife? of course not. In addition, you think you live in a decent country? give me a break. Plus saying nonsense about these rules without any reason is just stupid.
Have a nice day.

Who told you those are God's rules? Whoever said it or whoever wrote the text that told you also only knew it from someone else or from some other text, and it goes on all the way to the time some tyrant or wannabe rulers invented those sayings under the name of a not existing god to control people like you into doing whatever they wish, in this case, to kill adulterers
Sure it's wrong to cheat on your husband/wife, but does that justify murder? Are you insane?
Also yes you did bring up religion twice otherwise you wouldn't mention alah and what you think are his rules
@Topic :
I think she should have been fired at worst, suspended at best but why jail, who did she harm? Laws are supposed to protect the people, she didn't endanger anyone, and if she was biased in her job for having a relationship she should get punished accordingly

Keep in mind laws are not based on feels of certain religions, also Allahs way is not the only way, specially not in Texas XD
This is not even related to it, and yes they're foolish to alot of us. If wife aint loyal? Then there are relatives, family. People make mistakes, and in this case everyone knew, also the husband knew what went on in their relationship, who are you to judge?
We're not talking about rape, so if it did happen it would be their choice, how could that change the way I feel? unless it's my wife, but I wouldn't throw a rock at a person, lol.
I agree with most though, punishment should've been losing her job, suspension won't do anything unless all those students are gone by the time suspension is over. Who sued her anyway ? =/

Quran, it's from God. "1.) if you're married, your punishment is stoning to death." that's only the situation you can die in if you committed an adultery.
Now tell me if I'm insane or not, give me TWO advantages or if you can't ONE advantage of adultery, good feeling? ha, actually it will just destroy your life.
Peace out.

Actually it used to be, and still, but not that "right", also please notice that there is a difference between adultery and rape, it's not the same thing, I was talking about adultery not rape.

That's what I said, cause you brought up how we would feel if it happend to, mother/sister/wife. But other then with my wife I really don't see how it could affect me. it's choices people make, you just gotta live with it.

the quran was written by humans, also did you ever stop and think that there's other punishments for adultery than death? Does everything have to be fixed by killing everyone who does wrong? I never said it's a good thing but it doesn't deserve death sentance

again, your bringing God or 'Allah' into this. You're contradicting yourself time and time again.. If they're swingers then they're bound to do stuff like this, I believe sexual relationships with teachers/tutors are wrong, especially when you have to go in their class afterwards.

The Quran is from Allah, inn by revelation to the prophet Muhammad, so it's God words.
Yes there is another punishment, read my previous post so you can understand properly. http://www.islamweb.net/emainpage/in...icles&id=88535

Well you can fuck your boss, but in general it ends up with the employee quitting, whether things go good or bad, in the end you can't really work properly like that.
Still in a working environment at least you are pretty free in everything and the worst thing that can happen is losing your job. In the case of school the effects can be much bigger.

I must have been clearly mistaken that when you were talking about Islam, Allah and quotations from which seemed a holy text, it must have been your neighbor Allah, Islam his dog and the quotations must have been from the TV Guide...
Please don't talk shit, you started on religion.
Killing someone over adultery is simply idiotic, it's so idiotic in fact that we banned that practice as a society. Don't like it? Then too bad for you, it's how the world works.

It would be downright unlawful for her to be registered as a sex offender. She didn't offend anyone. No one involved was offended, pressured or pushed into having sex. They were consenting adults.

And yet it happens all the time, there are lots of old college professors who are now seen as a pedophile because they had sex with like a 20 year old student.
shes hot for me.. so what's the problem having sex to his students?
