This whole debate seems to be one hell of a long creek and rebora has no paddle. It's like aids, you will not win.
Apple isn't for me but millions love it. They've done something right, but there's nothing ground breaking about their design.

I never said he had nothing to do with Apple's products. Hell he had plenty to do with them, however what he and Apple did is mostly just copy from others.
If you look, again, at my previous posts then I link towards things he directly copied. Just because they don't look exactly alike, doesn't mean it's not copied.
Everything is unique, nothing is absolutely 100% copied, there are always some minor details different, no matter how well it's been copied.
The fact is that Apple claim to be great and other people believe it. I saw a bit of his keynote when he announced the first iPhone, he stood there and talked about how all these other phones were half screen, half keyboard, how he could not use the space how he wanted, but with the iPhone he could, he could decide whether he wanted a keyboard, more screen or anything else. He stood there and talked about it like Apple just re-invented the wheel. All this while dozens of phones offered exactly the same.
Now again and again you have come up with all sorts of examples where he created a new product, I keep showing you facts that Apple wasn't the first, that the design already existed and that they just made their own version, you don't even deny this except that you keep claiming that there is more, you are just so convinced that there are products out there that Apple must have invented, where Apple really showed their innovation, but you keep coming empty handed. Accept the fact that innovation almost never comes from large companies but from regular people.
There's no prejudice at all, I don't care whether you're black, white, amputee, spastic or how many posts you've got.
I've read your posts and you started off by explaining how you see it, nothing wrong with that. Gohan replied (multiple times) explaining his case, since all you've done is continue to repeat youself. In my eyes and no doubt many others, you're wrong. You can't win em' all and unfortunately certainly not one including Gohan.
Oh well, I'm ok with that. If I somehow lose this debate I'll still be happy with it, because so far I've learned a lot of things really.:D:
I do accept the fact that innovation almost never comes from large companies but from regular people, I even mentioned that Steve Jobs stole the GUI from XEROX (not this thread).
The only thing I can't accept is people claiming that Steve Jobs had only to do with business.
But the thing is, medias/journals/internet articles/debates aren't qualifying him as the "ideas man" for nothing are they? If he's been told to be the ideas man is because he actually had ideas.
I won't re-post any links I've provided them before.
Through this debate you've shown me that most of Apple's products aren't based on their ideas.
However, Apple's designs have a lot to do with Steve Jobs.
example :That's one fact you have to accept too.Quote:
Steve Jobs was wandering through a Macy's department store, admiring the design of food processors and coffee makers, when he drummed up the design for the Apple II.
Yeah because the media is filled with intelligent people. Most of them have no clue what the truth is and on top of that, he just died and thus they will not speak ill of the dead.
Michael Jackson was called King of Pop long before he was called a pedophile by that same media. Is either true just because everyone says so?
I never said Jobs didn't do anything else, I never said he only did the business side, I said he was a businessman, that doesn't mean they don't have ideas or an opinion. However that doesn't mean at all that he was innovative.
As for the Apple 2.
Besides it was a design based on all the other computers, while each looked different, all the designs were pretty much the same. Ikea does it all the time, that doesn't make Ikea's stuff brilliant or worth mentioning.Quote:
The Apple II is an 8-bit home computer, one of the first highly successful mass-produced microcomputer products, designed primarily by Steve Wozniak, manufactured by Apple Computer (now Apple Inc.) and introduced in 1977.
Again, Steve Jobs didn't designed a thing. He was probably the one that said "I like it, it will go." or "Nah, change this..".
The designer of the i<Name> is Jonathan Ive.
Jonathan Ive - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
And seeing the post above, you seem to have failed yet again.
Also how was the design innovative? Have you seen the tablets in Star Trek?
http://img.trekmovie.com/images/links/ipadd-ds9.jpg
And that was like 15 years ago. But yeah, real innovation in the design of that iPad!
Seeing the post above, you seem to fail.
And taking a tablet from a movie is not that smart, the design is ugly and is it as nice to use it?
The inside design counts too, and the fluidity of its use.
As for Orisis.
well you actually learned me something, but that still not fits my point. I did not say Steve Jobs actually DOES the design but has the IDEA of the design.
Jesus Christ dude... you really need to give this up, you are making yourself look worse with each post.
Read the wiki again. It says "He is the leading designer and conceptual mind"
That means he is behind the concept of the iPad and various other products. Aka he is the person who comes up with the design.
That's not from a movie, it's from a TV series and If you had any idea about it, then you would know that a wide range of these tablets are used in there.
And what you just implied is because you like the black borders of the iPad more then this thing, that it doesn't count that the iPad is a direct copy.
So let's look at this:
Steve Jobs didn't design the iPad.
Steve Jobs didn't create the concept of the iPad.
Jonathan Ive did design the iPad.
Jonathan Ive might have created the concept for the iPad within Apple, but merely copied the designs that have been out there for years.
In the end, Steve Jobs didn't do shit and yet here you are still pretending Steve Jobs was the shit...
Seriously, stop embarrassing yourself.
Why would I care embarrassing myself? It's not like I give a shit really.
I don't even know why you're taking the iPad as an example.
First of all I never mentioned anything about Steve Jobs being the creator of the concept of the iPad.
You still don't get my POINT. Can we just fix on the fact that Steve Jobs designing IDEAS played a big role in Apple's future which is now.
Designing ideas back in 198x - 199x.
Why such a big importance? Because it made Apple popular, Apple being popular is Apple being well seen by people, Apple's products everywhere plays an influence to the public.
That just proves you really don't get my point.Quote:

I don't want to turn this into another debate. I don't want to be more insulted, you got mad and I can deeply predict your answer to this comment :
"If I said you're stupid that's because you are." bla bla.
Anyway, we've pointed out enough arguments and insulting me makes you look stupid. But again, I'm out and I won't bother even looking at this thread anymore knowing I'll be flamed as hell, people will come out of nowhere kissing your butt saying how stupid I am or how retarded I am, because you just said that.
Ugh did I just lost all my respect for you?
Knowing you always want to have the last word, if you ever reply to this comment, don't address it to me because it will simply have no use, I won't visit this thread, but I'll give you the chance to have what you want cause I guess you're so obsessed by it. At least, I got a point, but wait don't worry, I know that claiming to have a point results in me being stupid because I repeated myself and I'm so retarded.
But I hope not everyone generalizes me as what Legends members said, because some people understood my point.

Design geniuses like Jobs come along once in a generation. As long as he is able to remain in charge of new product development, Apple should continue to remain at the top of the heap as far as product innovation is concerned. So it is not surprising that, soon after Jobs appeared today, Apple stock rose by as much as $4.63 a share.
