Rest in peace, Robin Williams. July 21, 1951 - August 11, 2014.
It's crazy how much I am genuinely emotionally affected by his passing. I don't normally feel much about celebrity deaths. But this hurts.

Can see myself watching all his classic films tonight. Rip... Will never forget. :'(
"I heard a joke once: Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed. Says life is harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world. Doctor says, "Treatment is simple. The great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go see him. That should pick you up." Man bursts into tears. Says, "But doctor... I am Pagliacci." Good joke. Everybody laughs. Roll on snare drum. Curtains."
The clown makes everyone laugh, but who makes the clown laugh?
R.I.P.
I loved all the films he was in. Also he was in one of my all time favourites, Mrs Doubtfire.
Really a sad way for such a talented person to pass, well anyone in fact.
Awesome actor!
He died peacefully cause he wasn't or never knew of RageZone.
Good man.
I'm thinking there is more to this story....the man battled depression for years and never gave up. I think maybe there were underlying medical issues no one knew about, I can see him being diagnosed with inoperable cancer and rather than living a few years in agony dying....end it now. I could see myself taking a route like that.
Sad to see him go...he will be missed.
You my friend cannot be this idiotic...I'm hoping I am misunderstanding what you are trying to express.....he would not have been peaceful if he had known RZ?
As sad as it is, and I too am saddened by this loss, I am hopeful that such a famous person's passing will finally shed some light on a very serious problem that is not taken so serious. Depression.
I too have struggled with depression/anxiety at different points in my life for different reasons. I too know that terrible feeling of wanting to end it all. I can understand how this can happen, if this is in fact what happened. I lost my Uncle last year on May 3rd, one of my best friends lost her mom, my aunt lost her brother, my cousin lost her brother-in-law, and I sadly, I can go on and on. Honestly I'm hard -pressed to think of people I know who haven't been affected by suicide.
If someone goes in for treatment for cancer people are generally supportive. If someone needs treatment for depression it is different. Having a mental illness is looked down on, as if the person brought it upon themselves or they can easily change it.
I strongly encourage you all to read the following:

If you are struggling with depression, you are not alone. It is hard, I won't say it is easy, but it is worth it, it is so worth it, so much more than I can put into words. YOU are worth it, you are important and you are loved. There is help out there, there are things you can do to ease the pain. Ending it all is not the answer.
If you know someone with depression, please do not turn your back on them. Please educate yourself on depression, there are lots of resources online. Try to be understanding and not pushy. Let them know you are there for them. Encourage them to get help. Offer to go with them, whatever it takes. Just be there for them, be supportive and don't judge, let them know you truly care. (Really there is probably better advice from physiologists available, but this is the things that have actually helped me.)
Nice gif man.
I can't forget how awesome he was in Mrs. Doubtfire.
RIP x
My significant other suffers from depression...it's never a constant thing..or least she hides it better at times, but when it's at it's worse and obvious to me I am always extra understanding and supportive....it usually passes shortly.
My only thing is I've never understood the whole suicide thing...it's a very permanent fix for usually a temporary situation....there's no turning back from that...
I am fairly certain he commit suicide.. That was not peaceful. In fact it's saddening...
Just read a story saying he hung himself with a belt but after attempting to cut his wrists with a pocket knife unsuccessfully. There appears to have been a suicide note but they are not discussing it at this time. It also stated he was VERY distraught over his most recent divorce due to the way "love" becomes all about money during a divorce.
