This video expands alot on the ideas in Part 3:
The Capitalist Conspiracy: An Inside View of International Banking by G. Edward
It's a bit more boring though. =\
Very interesting indeed.
Wow taht was absolutely crazy! and amazing... the truth is revealed!
nice find Ex.
watching the 2nd and 3rd right now.
~Captain Scrat~
So, before I finish watching this. Is this promoting Christianity?
Promoting? It's telling you Christianity is all fake!
Im my opinion all we can do is wait and see if it really happends...
nicely done, this was cool - thanks
10/10
Totally worthless.
Only watched the first 15 minutes or so but that was enough to make me want to vomit. Yeah, it all sounds good, but has anyone here even bothered to check any of the facts stated? Just a few of the mistakes:
Shortest day, dec 22 not true. It varies, and in fact is usually on december 21.
December 25 being important: not true. The whole calender as we know it didn't even exist in the time most religions were quoted to have some kind of saviour.
Horus comes from a virgin. not true. Horus is the son of Osiris and child of Isis, who was most definately not a virgin.
The list goes on and on, and that's just what I noticed after watching parts of it once. Someone randomly stating falsehoods might sound interesting, but it's about as scientificly sound as that stupid 9/11 video that has been circulating around.
True, there are remarking similarities between Christianity and some older religions, and I do not doubt that it is possible that a lot of elements were 'borrowed' from other cultures, but putting some fancy music under that and stating it as fact is a completely different matter.
There is however one lesson one can learn from watching this video: stay sceptical! Never assume something is true just because someone with a pleasent voice and nice imagery tells you it is!
dec 21 and 22 are close enough imo.
the date might not have existed but the propertys of that day would still exist surely?
no idea about people being virgins, i dont think it really matters since its refering to an object not a person.
There are a list of references here: Zeitgeist - The Movie, 2007
it isnt promoting anything :P
nope, just that it is mostly misunderstood in modern times
i disagree, its saying that it is the same belief system with a different face, obviously it has no been comercialized in many places but the under lieing beliefs are the same
of course!
i disagree grately!
of course! this is something i research almost everyday!
of course it varies, its 11:33am here right now but im pretty sure it isnt in australia!
dont forget this is not a belief system orientated around the gregorian calander, it is based on the sun and the stars!
now whether or not you call it december 25th or not, the stars are still in the same place
just because you are called fruityfrog now does not mean in thousands of years when historians refer to you as fruitalicousfrog that you were any different, its just a name :P
that depends actually, there is a standard view in egyptology that osiris was the love child of geb and nut but do not forget it is also thought that he could have been the sun of ra!
the fact is there are conflicting stories and people cant really seem to study it objectively and agree on what is really being told
now as there is so much evidence of this sun/star worship with certain saviours or gods being the face of it id like to think he was born of immaculate conception
do not forget that the official story for 9/11 is pretty stupid :P
constantine actually changed christianty from what it was to what he really needed it to be, as a result of the roman army being far too thinly spread he knew that with roughly 1/10 romans being a christian he could have a lot more support with christianity as the main religion, he however did not change his personal beliefs and carried on worshipping the sun and/or its many faces
stay skeptical yes!
if you are truely skeptical then dont take this video as gospel go and look for as many other sources as you can, go and research both sides of the story so to speak
do not try to proove nor disproove it, just educate yourself on the matter untill you have enough material to make a real decision, and then go find some more material on it!
i didnt get the movie, but it was quite interesting. ^^
Of course after thousend of years details get smeared out, but that wasn't my point. My point was that they bring it as facts while they are theories at best.
With this I completely agree, but it is also why I hate movies as these: they just spawn hundreds of facts at you, some true, some false, some doubtfully either, but bring it in such a way that you think they are all true. In a similar matter I could wrap up a movie about the earth being flat in a few hours and have people believe me as well, even though as an astrophysicist I'm fairly certain such is not the case :wink:Quote:

The point I'm trying to make is that the movie is biased and subjective, it is very hard to keep your objectivity while watching crap as this. They might have made a valid point, but I refuse to listen to it because the way they try to impose it on you.
There are way better scientific sources one can read. I know, might not be as accesable for a broader public as this, but at least they are worth reading.
