    The Sports Thread

Well since we don't have our dead Sports section and nobody talks much about sports, here's a topic to try and kick-start some sports discussion. If it's things like American football, regular normal football (not soccer, all you yanks who say it's soccer can piss off), basketball, cricket, whatever. Just don't go all off-topic and promote any bigotry between teams.

So... did anyone Scottish or anyone interested watch the Old Firm Derby? Or has anyone else got something else to chat about?

Football results for the premiership, not looking good for the Boro.

    18 Newcastle
    19 Middlesbrough
    20 West Brom
Looks like my teams heading into regulation.

I wouldn't know, but my instincts tell me Newcastle will get relegated. How many games is there left to play?

I've tried to watch NFL but I just can't stand it, there's too many stopages like they play for 15 seconds then they have a 30second break and all that.

Same with Rugby, just watching Wales play... Northern Ireland, I think, in the 6 Nations was gruelling enough. It stops all too frequently for my liking.

In my personal opinion Rugby is just boring. I only really like it when some one falls over or gets hurt.

Yeah I watched one of the superbowls but it might just be because I don't understand the rules or something.

Well, I'd prefer watching a basket-ball game anyday. No matter how much I hate the damn speakers, It's still worth it to me. It's got alot more suspense if you ask me.

Yeah I don't mind basketball, I watch it on occasion.

Urgh I was so upset with the results, no doubt Northern Ireland were the best team in the competition, but Wales deserved to be second atleast! Love rugby, it's much better than football for the obvious reasons (diving pisses me off). Btw what's the deal with all the Americans calling football 'soccer'? :S... Never known why.

No I'm kidding, I could careless about sports.
The only thing I really like is running, Tennis, and odd sports that don't receive enough attention.
I would honestly sit there and watch a whole competition of pole vaulting.
Don't even get me started on women gymnastics.
