Now I hate coming to the interwebs for help, but my friends have a really biased opinion on this girl but anywhoo, this girl I know named Tatiana is one of my very close friends and I've been having well, thoughts about her, but I'm too much of a nervous wreck to ask her out, seeing as it may destroy what friendship we have. And I've been sitting here for the past frickin 15 mins just thinking about it and my stomach is feeling all weird.
If you're afraid of the direct approach... [whuse :P ] you can always resort to subtle hints, e.g. - flirting, asking her out to hang out somewhere, etc.
She'll say no so just forget it.

Anyways Ninja, if you ask this girl out you won't lose her as a friend. If anything she'll be happy that you've been honest with her about your feelings. If this girl truly values you as a friend then you'll keep her as a friend even if she says no. If she feels repulsed by you only because you've opened out to her then she's not worth your time.
The truth is my young Apprentice, sometimes friends are only friends when it suits them. It's difficult situations such as these that test the resolve of friendship. So having said that just go for it. Good luck my young Padawan.
