How about this - She is mentally retarded and has no idea what she is doing, she has been coaxed into doing it by the person filming. Possible? Perhaps. She could entirely be mentally ill, but we dont know. How shes saying WEEEEE and that shes doing it without stopping, without hesitating and looking towards the camera for support, leads me to believe otherwise.

They dont understand what theyre doing, true, but they also dont understand why their doing it. This is why they look to friends, the person telling them what to do, family. They crave attention, support, and direction. Its just what the human mind strives on in its simplest state. Again she could be stupid deff and dumb, but we dont know.

I believe shes in the same catagory as 3 Guys 1 Hammer, or the marine who tossed the puppy off a cliff, the girl who got beat in florida, etc. I believe shes doing this for whatever reasons, but shes doing it with will, understanding, and a big ass fucking grin.

It doesn't really matter what the reason for killing them is tbh. Posting the video, even recording it in the first place, is pretty fucked up.

The video being posted online implies they did it for fun. Even though its kind of hard, rishwin is just saying people should be open-minded as to why stuff like this happens on a daily basis.

At the start of the thread you were talking about how this was a benevolent mercy killing, and how it "seems to be the most humane way to do it", then you got called out on your bullshit, so now you're pushing this "she could be mentally retarded!" angle, which let's face it, is pretty fucking unlikely. Of course there's a remote chance. But I don't find it likely enough to even entertain the thought. There's a joke I read in a book once that runs something like this:

It is already statistically unlikely that this person is mentally retarded, but when you observe her actions it becomes even less so. She acts with an awareness, confidence and purpose that the mentally retarded lack. She wears a glove on her throwing hand - this was clearly a pre-planned event. I find it highly unlikely, if she was being exploited by the camera man, that he would have mustered the consideration to provide her with a glove. She is wearing a watch. I put it to you that a person who is mentally handicapped enough to allow themselves to be exploited into partaking in this activity, and be morally ignorant of the cruelty and depravity it entails, has no use for a watch. I feel, on balance, that I can confidently aver that this woman is not mentally retarded.

As you said, we are basing this off personal experiences. My experiences tell me that there is a higher chance of her being mentally retarded, mainly because i have seen mentally retarded people do very similar things.

When he was younger, my brother picked up a huge rock, and threw it on his pet rabbit. The rock was bigger than the rabbit, so it went SQUISH! He was acting with full awareness, he was confident, but he was nether stupid or mentally retarded. He simply did not understand the implications of his actions.

Here's the flaw in that. Mentally ill people can be convinced with greater ease that what they are doing is right. I have 2 mentally challenged cousins, and I went to school with a few others. I especially got to see how kids would always convince this kid Chris to throw his chair. He didn't do it because he enjoyed it, he did it because he was convinced to. Mentally ill people don't have the mental capacity to distinguish the difference between right and wrong in a lot of things. How many kids/adults in this world can you say, when they were raised, were told by their parents throwing puppies into a river is bad? I'm saying that exact lesson, not "It should be common sense". Can't say many can you? So how is a mentally ill person able to define the right and wrong in a situation, specifically this one, when they've never encountered it or been taught about it before?

Also, given the fact that she does say "weee" makes me personally believe there is some sort of illness, because I can't see how a competent and sane person could get pleasure from that. Now, I'm not saying she is without a doubt mentally ill, but I am saying I have an easier time believing she is than she isn't.
