It's clearly an unwanted litter, and this seemed to them to be the best solution.
You don't know the circumstances of this video; they could be in a rural town with no animal care or RSPCA facilities. It's either drown them, or let them go hungry/starve or find other less humane ways of killing them.
at least do it the easier way, putting them to sleep instead of them suffering in the river drowning.
Putting animals to sleep isn't free you know, with an entire litter that could easily amass to over $350. As i also motioned, they could easily be in a rural town with no animal care facilities... how exactly would they be put down other than shooting them?
Shooting them is still a faster death than drowning them. That is one of the worst ways to die.

I like animals just as much as the next person. But the fact remains, you know absolutely NOTHING about what's really going on, and the circumstances surrounding this video.
Of all of the possible scenarios, throwing a litter of puppies into a river "for the hell of it" is all the way down the bottom, and yet that's the first conclusion you jump to.
the thing is, why record it on video and post it somewhere on the web? what makes you know what's going on?

Yeah kuniiyo mate thanks for posting this and I agree it was a cruel way to kill them but you are making absolutely no sense right now.
I've seen videos of people lacing meat with poison and little bits of glass shards so that when hungry strays eat them, they immediately start throwing up blood. They have to live in agony for literally more than 10 minutes while poison rushes through their body and then they finally die. Compared to that, drowning seems a god-send. But it's not. Regardless of whats said about them living in a rural town or being poor, there had to be a more humane way for them to do that. While the rest of kuniiyo's argument is (excuse me for this) retarded, he has a point. These people were probably just lazy, and the way she seems to be enjoying it, thought of turning something that would usually break someones heart into entertainment.

I'm not denying that drowning them is cruel. I'm not denying that there were much better ways for them to do it.
What i AM arguing, is the fact that they did it for absolutely no reason AT ALL, other than "I'm bored, lets kill some dogs!".
They all clearly came from the same litter, what if they are indeed in a rural town, and the mother was killed? With no way to feed them, these puppies would die.
What if they were abandoned and starving and they decided to put them out of their misery? Without any weapons and without smashing their brains with rocks, this seems to be the most humane way of doing it.
What if they are all affected by a degenerative disease passed on from their parents? If it was incurable and they couldn't afford the price of putting all the dogs down, they found the next best thing?
The list goes on and on, and your mentality should be considering any of these possibilities before amusing the worst, especially when you have absolutely ZERO background information.
What the fuck. Every post in this thread you've been making assumptions about where these people live, where the nearest shelter is, what the animal care facilities are like, whether their mother is dead. You've basically pulled a whole backstory out of your ass to try and justify this shit.
If you want to euthanize a litter of puppies you shoot them or snap their necks or use some other painless method. If you have to drown them, you hold them down. You do not use it as an excuse to practice your overarm with a fat grin on your face (and she IS smiling, pause the video in the first second and see for yourself).
