Re: URGENT MESSAGE TO CANADIANS, Our way of life is in danger!
I have to admit saying that pirated software is your way of life is pretty lame lol, get a job, earn some cash, and go out and buy the game legit :P I know copied games can be very useful, but it's getting to a stupid stage now. Especially on PC, game designers are actually stopping games on PC and going for console only now.

And now please explain why mod chips and flash cars are only used for piracy. If you did that please explain why homebrew should be outlawed. Thanks.

Well I only stated what had been in discussion lol, if it wasn't for piracy they wouldn't have been outlawed would they? If people are going to missuse and abuse things this will be the outcome. I don't think homebrew should be outlawed at all.

Agreed. I get kids coming up to me and asking me if I fap, etc. And then at school, some autistic kid is yelling out "divide by zero!"
They over-use memes; and use ED as their sauce.

Modchips are banned here.
Will only be a matter of time before flashcards go aswell. I mean let's face it, i got a R4DS for obviously my DS, and it's focussed on playing DS games, do you really expect that companies sit by while you download every game.
If you want such things to stay/be legal, then they need to offer valuable legal purposes. I mean the music and movie industry wanted to ban CD's and later DVD's aswell (long before that tapes aswell btw), but because of the many legal ways it can be used aswell, they simply didn't have enough to ban it. With modchips and all that, it's really quite clear, and therefor it makes perfect sense for them to get banned.

exactly all the piracy fags can suck it... we use this stuff to develope homebrew games and apps to share as freeware to give the community not illegal games... say i wanted to make a gameboy game and wanted it to play on Gba/ds? i am stuck emulating it on Pc. say i did not want to support nintendo's fine web browser and made one for the Ds better then the Ds one.... that is where the flash carts and other stuff... maybe i wanted to hack a gamecube and run gamecube linux on it... thats where the main base is... the others are cretins that steal games...
Also those cretins may ALREADY own the game but cannot use the normal one because the cartridge battery died that means no saving and in final fantasy 1 for Nes my battery died so i got a emulator and got the games i own... would it be piracy if i got the game cart.... No because it is only giving you access to property you own...
and as im learning coding im also doing homebrew apps for my wii because of these carts and mod chips.
next time you ass' think of shouting "piracy" do some bloody research...
and as for the Pc game piracy i do it to try the game... i bought portal after pirating it and developers will have to find a way to stop piracy... i personally think a every 30 day online validation would be a excellent idea... and for internet-less people give them the phone activation to do every 30 days...

Lolz, photoshop is a prime example of how easy it was to by-pass phone activation. Stupid idea imo, only companys who don't fail at this are the ones who require an online login from a webserver which needs to be validated and is constantly checking the connection.

this is like saying you can't have a VCR because you can use it to copy and play pirated tapes...
Or outlawing DVD writers, because there are ways of copying commercial DVD's...
Unbelievable.

Not sure why i didn't comment on this the first time around.
The thing about these things is, is that they allow piracy, you think if they can code all that, that they couldn't code a device that will ONLY allow homebrew and all. The fact is that if they want to limit them, then they can, the reason that they don't, is because 99% of the people use them for illegal goals.
So if a cartridge was made to run homebrew and only homebrew, then it wouldn't be banned as it can't be used to do anything illegal with it.
