    US/Canadian border

Ok well, my sister in law and I were talking about history for some odd reason, and the question arose. How was the US/Canadian border formed. Who decided where the border was? I know the 13 original colonies of the US were established before 1774, but can't for the life of me find on Google how the border was created between Canada and the US. Anyone know?

Thank you very much man! You're a life saver! I don't know if it's because of where you are from, but trying to search for it from a Canadian IP, all that showed up was border rules and regulations lol. Thanks again.

Must be because you are using Google.ca instead of .com or .au

Unfortunately, it automatically redirects to .ca. Maybe it's my ISP being all "Yay Canadian pride!"

You manually have to type in ".com" or ".au" to get something different, it always defaults to your own region. I just tested and my theory was correct, manually typing on ".ca" gave me Google Canada and provided me with the search results you got. By default i get the same results as Parker.

No no, I understand that. For some reason, even when I type in .com, it automatically redirects me to .ca. I just tried to do www.google.uk and www.google.au but it couldn't find them for some odd reason. When I typed in www.google.com, it right away went to www.google.ca. lol it's pretty nazi if you ask me.

Hey i took some time to Google it ;P

and if you type in "google.com/ncr" (no country redirect)

It disables the redirecting, but the Google page now looks weird lol.

And if you wanna enable it again, just clear your cookies.
