    US+New soruce of Car Fuel=yes?

I dunno we [US citizens] have been using gas since Heny fords combustible engine the new concept cars like hydrogen-power cars and cars that run on pure electricity (I be Honda will make one I swear :P)

I don't think the US will be weened of gasoline for good, although that would shut down the middle east or at least cut them finacially..scratch that it would GOUGE them :P

Honda, Citroen and Toyota have already made electric/petrol powered vehicles...
Say it on Top Gear :D

I did a oral pres. on hydrogen cars and dey say by 2020 we will run out of fossil fuels so we have to look at other options...

nowadays it cost bout $120,000 for a hydrogen powered vehicle so its a bit too expensive..... =/ gotta wait a few years until the technology goes cheaper ;)

I know a few German car manufactures are working on Hydrogen powered vehicles. Only difference is that they lack the power of the current gasoline powered engins that we have. Until they come out with one that has the same purr of my V8 I think I'll pass. May cost more but I just can't stand to drive anything with less then 250 horse power and 280 torque. ;)

I think the news paper said that each bus costs 75k or so. Don't quite remember since that was 2 years ago when they put it in there.

you'd be surprised that Gatorade/Powerade actually keeps you from urinating compare to water, soda, and (most obvious) alcoholic beverages

Hydrogen fueled cars will be dangerous though. Could you imagine the destruction a 10 car pile-up could have? WOW. Imagine a fender bender cause an Atomic combustion and taking out half the fucking city. That would be pretty cool to see in a movie. But DAMN!

If anything, it won't be hydrogen, that isn't convenient enough. It will most likely be ethanol. Ethanol is 1/3rd of the price of what we pay now and lasts three times longer. Car companies have made plans to release ethanol-powered cars starting in mid-2006.. so it'll most likely be ethanol we switch to.

Finally some seriousness in this thread... Care to link us to an equally serious news article or what-not, about this ethanol?

It's not that easy though, you can't just throw water in and drive away, it needs to go through a process, so it's not very cheap atm.

Personally i think electricity is the future, they keep making batteriess with more power in smaller sizes, and there is still a lot that they can improve with solarcells, with the right capacity of batteries and proper weight of it, and good solarcells you should be able to use your car for a long time untill it runs out, and you would also have the sun that keeps recharging it.

And i guess they could have for back up a engine that runs on water.

Well, i was 2 weeks ago, on a congress meant to show how this Hydrogen technology is growing, main probs, n wen can we expect those cars to hit streets.

In first place, there were some big companies attending the event, but most remarkable were toyota n GM. Was this last who got 2 Opel Vectra, with Hydrogen engines (didnt have electric engines like other hybrid car). I could sit on 1 of those while a GM tech gave us a little ride on the city. It just feels like a norm car, developing 136HP with a crappy max speed 160 KM/h. It had only 1 speed so good 4 girls! :P Worse was that u could hear like a "turbine" wen it was 120+ km/h , tho it was noisless at low rate.

GM said they should b ready on their factories to launch em on 2010.

PS: They also mentioned GM invested 1000mill € on I+D 4 those engines, so dont think they drop this project as easy as u think :P
