USA-Land of dreams?

Your an idiot if you move to the US. The unemployment rate is still high as shit, and it's not decreasing at decent speed. Unless you have a job coming here I would highly recommend you choose another destination. I would NEVER recommend some one to move to the US. EVER. EVER.

Also, how do we grow up on that myth, when the widely accepted view among foreigners is that the US is oh so great? Then fucking listen to them! Listen, our economy isn't going to get any better and it is only going to get worse. If you really want to live here then go for it, but don't fucking come here and complain when everything drops to an all time low and you are suffering because of it. Before you know it, China is going to be on top of the world and the US will be just another medium.

Unfortunately, I completely agree with this. The US keeps digging its grave by going to war all the f'ing time and the debt is most likely never to get paid off (not that it's good for a company to have no debt at all, but too much isn't good either).

Well, United States debt is currently 100% of GDP and United Kingdom's debt is 400% of GDP. UK is one fifth of the population of the US but has an external debt that is more than half that of the US. The external debt per capita of the UK is three times as big as the US's. They do not have the same degree of hysteria though.

I agree that the perfect image of American living is not true. In later years however, there has been a lot of media about presenting the us on the whole other end of spectrum, like people living in trailers and drug addicts. In truth, the real America is inbetween the optimistic and pessimistic America somewhere.

If a guy from India comes to a guy in the UK who has never heard of any other place than his little town and the Indian asks the guy if it rains often, the Englishman may say yes, or he may say no. But his answer will be irrelevant for the Indian because "often" for the Indian is a different frequency than "often" for the Englishman.

So pessimistic. You ever thought about how China got its own problems? Due to the one-child policy, they've got a huge surplus of males and elderly. They got massive pollution problems. The middle class demand more. The communist regime is crumbling. Corruption is widespread in all layers.

Do not get me wrong, China has gotten really far. It is not impossible that they overtake the US economically soon. But so what? They still rely on Americans to buy their products. The US still has the technological edge in the military. Most of the best universities in the World still lie in the US, and that is not going to change anytime soon.

The problem American economists have is not that the US will fall economically; it is that it will stop growing so fast.
