Now there is no good "free" anything. Windows Movie Maker is the only real option you have for a legit 'free' editor.

Try out Adobe Premiere Pro CS4. There's a "Try" link below the buy link. This should be the best video editing software for the PC.

If you like what you see after your project is complete, you can then buy it for the very low price of JUST $799.99...
