Vinyl CDs are the best!

Vinyl cds are the best to burn on, end of story. I have an slew of cds backing up hundreds of gigabytes of.. stuff.. and the vinyl cds are the only ones that still work, the others, imation, do not. My vinyl cds are have been in a storage locker for atleast two years now, and they still read fast as ever, sadly, my imations, which hold my favorite stuff (mostly games), just won't read at all.

Just thought I'd share that.

Right... you mean with a print on it? If so then yes those are probably better due to better protection against sunlight and such.

Still i don't believe it matters much, afterall it's the protection on the writeable side that gets effected the most, official discs are made with a protective layer, so they don't have these problems.
Anyway the case what you got here probably is the simple quality of them, although this matters less and less, about 5 years ago there was a huge difference between a good CD-R and a bad one, where as good ones can still be read, bad ones can't in most cases.
Also 5 years ago a lot of discs had the estimated duration of 10 years, later they made discs with the estimated duration of 50 or 100 years (not sure which), though i think all estimated durations have been very poorly estimated, the only way this would be correct is if you store it in a really good protective place where the tempature doesn't go to high, or to low, then again their estimations are probably just a market scam to make them look better then they really are, kinda like those cd burners they made that could write at like 40x, it's all trash, the faster it writes, the more errors and such are made.

Thoes are they gayest things ever. They wont play in a vinyl record player. :(
