In Cheshire, Snow doesn't exist.
There is snow in southern brazil, I've seen it couple times (talk about living in a cold rural wasteland uphill argh) but it rarely happens even by the mountains. And its like, half centimeter of snow, people get all like "OMFG SNOES111ONEONE!!" its sorta a fun time, but you can't do much with it. What you get is a lot of frost, an eventual -5
the hell with snow its grit salt u need to watch out for... i fuking slipped on grit salt the other day...
when I used to live in Springfield, Illinois (don't pronounce the 's' you hics -.-) back in '97 (I was 9 but I remember this easily) El nino screwed us over with those damn warm fronts and we didn't get jack until maybe early march (even then it was about maybe 2 inches). I remember for school to be canceled there had to be many requirements:
-at least 4 inches
-had to be snowing
-roads iced over (don't believe black ice needed to be present)
and maybe one or two more.
I DO remember an even earlier time of the flood of 93 in Illinois (mississippi river or lake springfield (eve n though I lived in Chatam, Illinois at the time of this flood) ) flooded over...I'm gonna choose which ever sounds less catastrophic...lake springfield.....
when it DID snow in 98, my brother and myself would throw out action figures into the snow, and our dog would try and look for them xD (of course she couldn't stay out there for more than a minute, min pins have almost no hair :P). we'd wait until spring to find them outside!
about 12-14 inches O.o took hours digging out
just had a nor easter and got literally 2 feet of snow, definitely got outta school :)
we have a neighbor with a tractor and a plow though so its all good
Snowing Right Now
Where I live, It did snow - once. Just once. And you really cant call it snow. It was thick blocks of ice. After that - It never happened.
