I hate those people who have never used this drug say that it's so harmful, because that's what they were told (for example the guys generalization about people who use pot, are all hippies; just goes to show that he knows nothing about the drug).

Who said he was using it to solve a problem. Marijuana has medical properties, which include positive influence on heart disease and cancer. Plus, you have better memory, and it can be used for those with eating disorders to give them the munchies.
the genral use of weed is today that 80% of usa teens use it for is a hype, to escape reality. I stated a fact that if ppl cant solve problems sober, then why use it. People misuse it, a hurt back and they smoke pot for five years, but i do see it is a medicine, a widely generalized and abused one. As for memory, i have to disagree, some people become more creative, but it does eat your brain cells, thus the term pot head.

I do agree on the laws of weed even though I smoke occasionally.
If it were legal to have people smoking it like cigs then that would mean everyone would be too silly to take serious. People are annoying when they are high. I say just keep the laws they way they are and let people keep obtaining and smoking weed the usual way.
It's sort of like Nimbin in Australia, it's pretty much the home of weed, police don't enforce the laws and other regulations around weed, but they try to keep it in a controlled environment.

Yeah, I'm going to back up exy on this one because you don't have a damn clue of what you're talking about. Weed doesn't make people go and murder, rape and you don't see deaths in the newspaper the NEXT day about some guy killing someone because they smoked a joint.
You're comparing two things that have nothing in common. Sure weed might mess you up and make you feel different, but it's nothing like handing everyone a gun. Weed doesn't give you the feeling to kill someone, and neither does having a gun. My friends' parents have a gun license, do they feel like they need to kill people? No..
Another thing, just because people smoke weed doesn't mean that they're ignorant -- yeah they're not following the "rules" but who cares? I know you can't say that you haven't broken a law/rule before, amiright?

Making weed legal is good thing, alltrough most people don't see that. It gives you controll over the use of weed and you can make sure it's used in the right way. I live in the Netherlands and as you all probably know weed is legal here and believe you it is used yes, but not as much as you all think. Most of my friends nearly ever blow. The fact that weed is forbidden atracts many (especialy children trying to look tough) people to it.
