Depends really. Did you know all the stuff I posted before from the top of your head, or did you learn something from it? Basicly, how much do you know about photography? Because a D7000 isn't going to do you much good if you don't already know most stuff to know.
Personally I got a D3000, I'm planning to get the D7000, but this is because I'm limited in what I want to do. For example I got a 330 euro Flashgun (SB-900), even though my camera doesn't have a Commander function.

I know most of what you said. Photography has been a long-running hobby in my family since my great grandpa, and me and my brother picked it up as well a couple years ago. I'm really looking for jobs/steady job as a photographer/videographer until I go to college or something, and the D7000 provides great efficient and quality for both. But, I guess it's a little out of my league. I have a canon vixia hf10 that I could sell as well, but seems a hassle.
THe D7000 is not sufficient for professional video. It's 1080p recording is limited at 24fps, which is at the low side, especially if you wanted it to slow down.
If you are really interested in video recording, especially at a lower price, I'd suggest checking out the Canon bodies. Some of the bodies around say 600-700 have better video recording then the cheaper Nikons have.

Misses had tesco club vouchers through the door so just used them and got myself a shit load of turkey fillets , but i wanted turkey steaks. Oh well.
You would want a expensive camera for videorecording even though you already got a actual videocamera? And why not use the videocamera for youtube usage, seeing as a DSLR, especially the D7000 is quite big (especially with grip).
But seeing as you got HD video covered, I'd say no, I don't see the real advantage, sure there is one having both with you without having to carry both (even though the videocam probably does a better job at video recording), but IMO not for that price.
Alright thanks for the heads-up and advice Gohan. Much appreciated. Good to see an actual opinion on this kinda thing instead of websites and blogs providing charts and statistics and no opinions. Thanks.
