What do you spend your cash on

And i'm talking about the bigger amounts.

Basicly i have about 400 euro to spend a month now, and i'm not really sure what to get, there are a few things i want to get, but they aren't sensible to get now, like a computer upgrade (wanna wait 6 months atleast), or a nice HDTV (cost to much atm imo) + a X360 or Wii.
I'm also thinking about getting a Nintendo DS when i played most games on the PSP and i'm kinda bored of it.

So what do you spend your cash on, perhaps i get some good ideas. ;)

Well over the last year I've been spoiled. A spoiled bitch tbh...

Between my dad and my boyfriend I never really buy anything. Thats really crappy, isn't it??

I DO however save money. Right now I'm saving for a Nintendo WIIIIII and a PS3. Since I can't drive I don't have a car, but if I could I would save for one... Luckily I get rides (if you know what I mean).

I would also like a new DVD player to go with my snazzy new TV.

Tbh the PS3 is a waste of money, Sony is seriously fucking up, i read that in the new Gran Turismo you need to pay for each car and track, to get everything you would probably need to spend like 1000+ euro

I am thinking about getting a drivers license, i want one, might aswell start with it soon.

Well i just got like 400 euro a month, i'm not sure what the exact amount will be as i only just turned 21, but it should be about that, probably a little more

Yeah my PC is still fast enough, i'm gonna get 512mb though, otherwise it will be way to weak for Test Drive Unlimited :D
A monitor perhaps, but i'm not sure if i want to go LCD yet. My oldest brother might still have a 21 inch Sony Triniton, perhaps ill buy that for now, it's a pretty sweet monitor.

Definetly, but not right now, having done nothing for to long has made me put on weight that i'm losing atm, so i want to wait a while with that.

I hear negative things about PS3 all the time. I'm not the type to buy consoles when they first come out anyway. I'll just keep money aside, watch what happens. If they had FFVII out for it.. I'd buy it :PP Sad? Yes. But I LOVE FFVII.

    Get a PSP ;)
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII for PSP - Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Sony PSP - Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII PSP Game

The thing about the PS3 is, is that it's not a game console, well atleast they ain't selling it like that, which is why it's so high priced, because it's not just to play games.
The PS3 will be a awesome system, but it's high price, and their ridiculous ideas with games will kill it.

PS3 = marketing gimik to sell more BluRay stuff. If you want a PS3 then you are stuck with Sony BluRay. If you want BluRay the only logical solution is a PS3 since a BR player is $999 for the TV player and $799 for the PC player.

What have I been spending money on lately? Other then stuff for kitten it would be X-Box 360 games. Spent about $400 on games this past summer alone. It's really addicting.

Also the DS I fell is better then the PSP. The games are just more funner with alot more replay value. The only reason for me in getting a PSP is just for 2 games. FFVII and MGS Special Ops.

Though the logical thign to do with the extra cash is save it up. Like you said. You plan to upgrade your computer in 6 months. So if you do save it up just think how crazy you can go with it. =P Or of course the more logical thing to do is use it for something useful. Like getting your driving licences and maybe a car.

How is the X360? Seeing you got a PC that runs everything i'm definetly interested in what you think of it, because i don't want to just buy a PC in a box that only runs games.

DS is appealing to me, but there are still plenty of games i really like on the PSP, 1 of my favorite games must be Burnout Legends, i love that game.

I will be saving up for my PC upgrade, but not right now, i do want to go pretty crazy with buying mostly top of the line, but i will only get 1 video card, and i will be looking at price/performance ratios, so basicly i'm looking at about 1000 euro, and if i decide to get a new case and all then that would go higher. Ofcourse if i can get a much nicer setup for 200 more or so, then i will, just really depends what is interesting to get.

Hehe i got all those on my PSP... well not all in all honesty, i got the FF's, Secret of Mana, Evermore and Seiken Densetsu 3, Zelda 3 and Tales of Phantasia atm.

    Here's the recent expenditure list.

    £400 - Forged Accralite pistons
    £85 - Atmospheric piston BOV
    £80 - Nismo S-Tune Iridium spark plugs
£233 - Front mount intercooler kit
£160 - Oil cooler and filter relocation kit

Total: £958 GBP which is $1,821 USD.

Money money money, on the plus side I estimate ~390-400bhp at the wheels now. Sad thing is I might have to sell her while I'm at Uni otherwise she'll sit rotting on the driveway.

    Sex toys? :P

Anyway that's a lot of money on RZ, i guess i'll make a donation when my money is in. ;)
Just aslong you ain't switching me to that n00b Subscribers group. ;)

Which brings me to the idea, how about a mod that can make a person be in more then 1 group, for example some mods have donated and are a legend around here, they could be in 3 groups, or atleast have 3 listed?

I spend most of it on xbox-360 games, stuff for my laptop (dual screen, external hard drives(3) speakers, cooling fans, and music stuff (drum stuff, guitar/bass stuff.) and I invest the rest.

Saving up for a 42" LCD HDTV at the moment.

Please all of your option DONT PICK A PS3. All of this years they only showed us Movies, not like the 360 THEY ACTUALLY SHOWED FOOTAGE OF GAME. the 360 is worth every single penny, couple hours ago I bought the Xbox camera and came with headset, UNO full game and the camera itself for only 39.99$. if dont want a console just upgrade PC, but the drivers license beat all of the options.

Well I love it. The dashboard layout is great. The acheivment thing is also great as it motivates you to play games more. The controller perfectly fits my hands also.

For the games they are wonderful. Just love how smooth they run and how good they actually look. Some cames take a while to load but that's to be expected with programmers still working out things. Also the standardized save feature is pretty usefull also. Makes it easier for you to figure out how to do it.

The XBox Live Marketplace is also great. If you want to try a game or see a trailer it's there for you to dl and try out. Very useful as I've found quiet a few good games from it as I would ahve never bother to play without a demo. The Arcade is decent. Pretty much like Yahoo games that you download but instead of only using it for 30 mins you get to use it a little longer but not the full thing.

There are two quirks with it though. The first is the HDD isn't 20gb. When you get it it's only 12gb and when you clean up all the usefull crap it's still only 14gb usable. Shame really. And the other quirk is the battery life of the controller. When you have the rumble on and playing a game like Blazing Angels which vibrates non stop you only get about 30-40 hours of battery life. Other then that it usually runs for about 100 if you have vibration on with normal games that don't over do it and about 180-200 when it's turned off. So if you get one it's a good investment to get some recharge kits.

Also another great feature is being able to turn it off and on by the controller. Makes life so much easier.

The DS is loads of fun. Espcially that Brain Age game. Just love palying it for hours. Who could ever think doing basic math could be fun. :icon6:

That sugestion was really a joke =P

In about six months you'll have Kentsfield core processors. Which is basically two Conroe's stuck together like how the Athlon X2's are. They will also cost the same as the current processor. So a quad core e6600 will cost $330 and the dual core one should cost about $230.

For video cards you have the crazy 8800GTX with 512mb+256mb of RAM, core speed of 1.5ghz (more like dual 750mhz), and a intergraded water cooling unit. Like wise with the R600 it's going to be 1gb of RAM, with a 800mhz core, and also an intergraded water cooling unit. They both will need external powersupplies as they are both over 200w. They power of ES R600 is roughly that of a pair of x1950XTX in Crossfire. SO who knows what dual R600 will be. Pretty much too much power for the next 2 gens of games.

Umm... They have people playing games on the PS3 this very moment at the TGS. O.O

I myself will be getting a PS3 for MGS4, FFXIII, FFXIII Verses, GTA4, and most of all Gundam: Crossfire. When I say I'm a big Gundam fan I mean I am one. The only reason why I bought a 360 was to play the new Gundam game that is comming out in December for it. O.O
