Why? There is a legitimate reason to not use quite a few drugs as they can cause major issues just even by trying. And even with safe drugs like weed for example, why should they try it if they are fine not using it. It's different if they are ill informed and start a crusade on the usage, but there is not reason why they should try if it's for them or not.Quote:

Personally I've been drunk once and that wasn't even intentional (someone spiked the cola at Exy's :P), personally I didn't care for it 1 bit and it was pretty much all I expected. I think it's absolute crap. Now on the other hand I've been stoned more, even with my limited usage. Still that said, most people get this weird few of me, even here in the Netherlands, that I've been stoned and all, that while most of them have been drunk and throwing up countless times. So yes, that's ignorant, but there is still no reason they should try it if they don't want to.
Personally I just tell them I prefer getting stoned then drunk and that being stoned is a lot safer aswell, people do less stupid stuff, or atleast within control of themselves so they don't do anything that could put others in danger (unless they already do that normally aswell ofcourse), on top of people don't beat up their families when stoned etc etc.
But yeah that is all with weed, there are quite a few other reasonably safe drugs out there, but there is plenty of crap out there aswell that can seriously fuck things up, knowledge is power here, however people that want to experiment with drugs, tend to read what they want to read, just like the anti-people, just how people claim weed is absolutely harmless and others claim it's extremely dangerous, fact is that it's not harmless, it can cause a psychosis in people, but the chances of that happening is extremely small, so it's still less dangerous as a whole compared to alcohol, but that doesn't make it completely safe.
Weed is 1 of the safest recreational drugs out there, but to the extreme side there are drugs that will get you addicted with a single hit, has no known cases where someone kicked the addiction and will cause a certain death within 6 months.
So yeah, plenty of reason to be scared of drugs. So there are drugs that are quite safe, but others are not, now obviously most of you will never touch the stuff I mentioned before, but the fact is that some of the stuff mentioned in this thread is already way too much risk for most people, and again, for a legitimate reason.
