I have a photographic memory with an IQ of roughly 3 trillion.
Ok, im really dumb, and have a normal memory :(
I have alright short term memory ie reading a page before an essay and being able to produce it in the actual test without any papers, pretty good long term memory aswell I can remember a lot of things when I was around the ages of 5 or 6 so if that
I actually have a half decent memory for a stoner! im quite good with detail and i can remember past memorys very well
My memory is scary. I remember everything to the tinyest detail, the problem is I forget things all the time and then when I remember them again I have perfect recall.
My short term memory can be seriously shit but I think that's more due to lazyness and constant procrastination than anything else.
I have almost no trouble recollecting my dreams, it generally confuses me when I don't remember them but it's not uncommon.
I have total recall memory, sounds, sights, tastes, smells, everything I experience get's stored and you know what's really fucked up.
IT NEVER STOPS!!!!!
Can you imagine though walking past someone in the street and say if he/she commits a crime the police ask you to give a description, imagine how hard that would be, unless a really hot chick was the murderer
There was this program i saw about a woman who simply couldn't remember peoples faces, she had to remember things about the person, obviously unusual things, like moles, crooked teeth, the shape of their nose etc etc. There was this man interviewing her and all, and at the end of the day she was at a skate park, so was he, and she saw him several times, including upclose, finally he fell down intentionally next to her, and it was only then when he caught her attention that she saw it was him.
In that same program there was a unbeatable chess player, she knew every possible play that a person could make, and didn't even have to think about her actions and a man who could do any possibly calculation, including asking him which day it would be on the 27th of march in 8083.
Anyway they were trying to find out the reason for those things, and they found out that they use different parts of the brain for those things, weird thing is that it's not just that they use different parts for those things, but for all things, everything was just different.
You see this with some of the mentally challenged aswell, most actions are really hard for them, while they can be exceptional at 1 thing, far above what the average people can.
Faces are stored in a special section in the brain.Quote:

I don't know if I have a photographic memory, but I always link abstract things like feelings to colours and patterns.
i think i saw something similar. there was also a person who remembered things as pictures in his mind. they taught him basic icelandic language in 3 days and he remembered all he was told. afterwards he said he saw the language as a mountain range and if he got a word wrong he would see something thats not suppost to be there like a car or something.
I have very crap memory. Someone rings and tells me to tell the person that they were ment to talk to to ring them back. 5 minutes later they come back home and I forget all about it o.o
