What I've actually wondered for some time, is where the term "signatures" came into play on forums and using photo-editing programs like PS and PSP and even modler programs to create them. It seems kind of humorous to think that a photo-editing program can be used in such a way, to be honest.
my version of the tale:
it was a long time ago when the internet was fresh... newly born... hardly any porn or media on it... but there was an opening one MAN (liljon28*) crossed that line made an opening... with Windows Paint and he dared to be different he dared to be unique.. thus the evolution started...

actually signatures were used in emails i think they still do mostly by buisnesses i remember my dad would send email there was a lil thing in outlook saying send with signature :D
they were used for autheny (i nkow icant spell)
then people started to stray away form the plain signature (which was a logo or actual signautre) and added renders and things to customise it more :D
I dont know but whoever came up with signatures is a genous.

Internet signatures aren't the same compared to signing something for, let's a say a package :p. I'm well aware of where "that" came from, but I'm talking about using them in forums and such

meh i guess they originated from emails... tho some people are amazed that photoshop can edit pictures, they think its just for making sigs :tp:
