Nicotine is a stimulant, after using it often it becomes addicting. Thats why, one of the way of quitting smoking is using the nicotine patch.

As for the idea of smoking in general, it's not something I do. But after the last RaGEPARTY and Lee's Stag I've decided that I'll only smoke Weed during "special occasions" so to speak like at the next RaGEPARTY when we all gather together. Dying earlier might not seem to matter that much now, but later it could, but considering there are many ways to die, i do agree that it's not a real reason to stop for.
However smoking has some bad short term effects aswell, it smells bad to non-smokers (non-smokers also prefer not to have a smoker as a partner), costs a lot, your air intake is worse causing you to get out of air faster and thus tired and later on you will cough a lot, including really bad coughing daily because of all the crap.
Smoking has no advantages, only disadvantages.
Have to agree, the short term effects do put me off alot, and if anything at all, they would be the reason(s) for me to stop, tbh I don't want my lungs to be used in a government ad to put smokers off. So I guess they did the job for me. But I am yet to even try quitting.Quote:
