I, for once, agree with Rish in part of his post and with Alphabeat.
Humans can't live without answers. Half of the questions that we had on our mind were answered by the religious, through the word "God".
Back on the earlier centuries of the "After Christ" moment , people only knew what the Church told them. They were told that an Holy power created the world , life, nature and its elements. Yet, there was a thing that opposed that way of seeing things ; Science.
Science quickly became our new way of getting new answers, and actually, the best way.
The anwsers people believe(d) is(was) a matter of faith. Yet, there's people that believe in Science and in Religion. The thing is, Religion is our heart, Science is our mind. Both can't live without each other. If one of them fails, the other one is there to help him, answering the question. It's a matter of philosophy. There's also questions that we can't seem to find an answer, which proves that there is something missing besides Religion and Science, which I believe that is our soul. Religion, our heart, Science, our mind, Life, our soul. "Why are we here?" "What's beyond death?" "Why" "Why" "WHY!"
Simple questions that can only be answered with the true equilibrium of the three states ; Religion , Science and Life. Those questions are to be answered by us. Since our birth, Religion and Science gave us the chance to live our Life as we want it. That's why Life is the last part of the puzzle. It just depends of peoples life. Science and Religion can't answer those questions, but our Life can, because we're the ones that give that answer. It's the so called life.
