Why is France such a fucked up country?

Well ill tell you my little story... Well my dad has a moped just to go round our land on and on the 28th of June 2007 i went on the road with it no insurance and i got stopped by the coppers so i went to the Station a week later and payed a little fine and they told me not to do it again so i thought right thats over and done with. But
An hour a go someone rang our door bell and it was a man who was informing us that we have to go to court for the moped on the 16th of April 2008 and what i can't understand is we got to go to court for a stupid little moped just because it had no insurance.

When the man came over i just laughed and thought it was so pathetic the pigs have got nothing better to do than just bring up old incidents. I do think its because we are English and living in a foreign country.
So my dad has got to go to court on the 16th of April because hes the owner of the moped and it was really my fault but because the moped is in my dad's name its him whose going to court for it.

So all i can say is the French are racist fucks :) thats the only reason i can imagine they would bring us to court 7 months after the incident.

Yes they do need insurance on them but i only used it once and i learn't my lesson from being payed a fine.

You might think you aren't doing any harm but really if anything happens you could ruin other peoples lives.

If it were up to me you would be banned from driving for a long time. A fine isn't going to teach you anything, and courts are just a waste of time.

How? Insurance doesn't improve your driving, insurance is to protect your own ass, not someone elses. Well that's not completely true, if you don't have insurance then it will be much harder for the other to get their money, but i don't see how it could ruin someones life.

Insurance really is about if something happens, then you ain't fucked up, but the other still is.

Depending on the circumstances you can still end up haveing to pay everything if an uninsured driver hits you since you would need to claim off your own insurance rather than theirs (lose no claims etc on top of that)

No insurance in my state means you lose your license and you pay a fine; no getting your license back till you get proof of insurance either.
However that's for normal cars... I don't even know if you need insurance for a moped here... I suppose if you use it regularly for transportation, yah.

That's how it's always worked for me. I got hit and his insurance paid for my repairs, however it took a while to get the money so my insurance paid for it in advance then took the money from his insurance company.
Accidents are normally covered by the responsible party but things like a broken vehicle (no accident) would be covered by your on (no shyt, right?).

I would argue it, but I've never been to France and I don't know their traffic laws so no promises lol

You got off extremely easy. Here in Arkansas, for those that doesn't know, it's in the United States, here, you go to Jail for driving without insurance. Even if you do have insurance, and you don't have proof of it, they will still take you to jail until someone brings up your proof of insurance to them. It's bull crap but still, it's to protect everyone.

I understand that it's only one time but what if you were to of had a wreck, got seriously injured and then seriously injured someone else or even killed someone. You'd be even more screwed.
