Whoever wrote that is wrong, being from a country doesn't make a different race. Races are like Asian etc, basically a subspecies of human.

Insurance really is about if something happens, then you ain't fucked up, but the other still is.

A while ago my family car got wrote off. It was parked on the side of the road and some pick with no registration or insurance wrote it off, and fled and wasn't caught. Since we only had 3rd party we got nothing. Thankfully it was almost paid off so we didn't have to keep paying for it much longer. Had it been new it would of fucked up my families life style.

Some people don't have the money to buy new cars because uninsured drives think they are above the law. If you write some ones car off and they don't have fully comp what are they going to do? Either your life is going to be messed up or theirs. It's just not worth it.

I know its only a moped but it's the concept behind it.

Well different situation now they are only taking us to court because we still haven't got it insured but we didn't know we had to get it insured main reason being we don't use it on the road. But i just found out as well that you need insurance on any vehicle even if its not for the road. But the cops are probably thinking that we still go on the road with it. So my dad has to somehow prove to the judge that it isn't in use anymore.

I Wouldn't mind going to court but because its in my dad's name i can't. And when my dad goes to court he will have to hire a solicitor so that will cost me a few 100 Euros So for a bike that cost 50 Euros its caused triple that price >,>

Well if you bothered to read all of my last post it clearly says *I* will have to pay for it. The cash doesn't really bother me as i have a job. Just a pain in the ass because if we got insurance for it like 2 days after the incident it would of been all jolly good. But the police didn't tell us to get it insured so thats why i am in this mess.

Well Ofcourse every vehicle in use has to be insured. If you are not, by right they should be removing the license plates from your car and you have to pay to get it re registered and insured.

Well you live in that country and he has a license in that country, so yes, he is an idiot for not knowing. Also, If it was not insured because it never left your property, how the hell can you blame someone else when it is 110% YOUR fault? Especially since he had no idea that you took it out. You didn't ask him because... you asked him in the past and he said no? Well, i wonder why that was. You are lucky you weren't arrested. Or that he didn't report it stolen.

Stop saying "on our own land" like it means something. The license plates are owned and belong to the government, it is therefore their property. Hey maybe your dad knew that it was supposed to be insured but never did because IT WAS NOT MEANT TO LEAVE THE PROPERTY. When you live in a country you are expected to know the laws, so don't blame the policeman that they didn't tell you to insure it. You should've known it (thats also a law).

And btw: I don't know any country here in europe where you can have stuff un-insured...perhaps england but england has always some different laws than the other country in europe...

I went to France on a school trip once, all of them looked at us pulling funny faces, and throwing stuff etc.
My mate went up to one of the kids doing it, and gave him a good hard punch, which sent him crying.

Also,
When we were at the top of the Eiffel Tower, one Frech guy tried to push one of my classmates off the tower, but because he dropped his glasses, he didn't realise that there was a bar thing and he banged his face right into it.
It was bloody hilarious.
