Re: World War II - Your views
i think that Hitler was a very very clever man, and a great speaker. he managed to manipulate the majority of the country to his advantage and cause mass death.
i did a whole project on war photography recently, and i just think that it was amazing what soldiers during WW2 went through. the technology was significantly worse, thousands of people died, and not because of war, because of poor conditions they were kept in. WW2 was a major historical mile stone. everyone should be educated about it just because it has changed life as we see it these days.

I'm pretty disappointed by the lack of knowledge in this thread. I suppose depending on where you live would determine what history you learn in school, but still, WWI and WWII is something EVERYONE should have studied.
As for Hitler, yes he was a very powerful speaker, he used so much psychology in his speeches it rather amazing. From how he spoke, all the way to his hand and head movements. What I find funny is how he wanted a "perfect" world with out the Jewish race. I guess he forgot to mention that his grandfather was part Jewish, which means Hitler himself was part Jewish.

Take a few history classes, then get back to us.

I never studied ww1 or 2 at school,
But i do know about operation epsilon (sp) where they detained 10 of the nazi's top scientists to find out how close they were to creating the atomic bomb

Hitler was a very sensitive man. He ran from home to escape his abusive father and went to art school. He has made several poems too. I like this one:
Quote:
When your mother has grown older,
When her dear, faithful eyes
No longer see life as they once did,
When her feet, grown tired,
No longer want to carry her as she walks,
Then lend her your arm in support, escort her with happy pleasure—
the hour will come when, weeping, you must accompany her on her final walk.
And if she asks you something, then give her an answer.
And if she asks again, then speak!
And if she asks yet again, respond to her, not impatiently, but with gentle calm.
And if she cannot understand you properly, explain all to her happily.
The hour will come, the bitter hour, when her mouth asks for nothing more.
Of course, translated from German.

He took lessons on how to be a speaker by a jewish theatre expert at the time (he didnt say tht he was jewish ofcourse) and taught him how to do the famous speaches you can see - all staged - the public didnt really know the true voice of hitler
You know, the allies spread A LOT of propaganda where Hitler was put in connection with jews. Like the thing with him being 1/4 jew, like DaCheat just mentioned. Everyone around Hitler, his family and closest friends, admired him greatly.

Re: World War II - Your views
To be honest, I'm glad that war came. Else the world would've still been a country-based world. No globalisation would've took place.
