Its VERY fair that they spend extra money on students that need it.
Some students need things that the public school can't provide, they send some to private schools that cost the district $30,000 to $50,000 a year sometimes - SERIOUSLY!
They HAVE to provide them with an education, and the public school doesn't always work, they have to do something if they can no longer make appropriate or meaningful accomidations.
For me, they spend an extra $7,000 a year for me to take online classes.
For some others, they spend $50,000 a year to send students to a special school I know of, that is filled with therapists, psychologists, nurses, etc
At my school, they started a new special program that pays teachers to spend extra time with students that are at risk of dropping out, and teach classes after school for them. Thats new this year.
They do MANY things that the mainstream students usually don't find out about. Many things go on, and a lot of people don't know.
Notice things how some students leave the class after they get their assignments, how some teachers excuse students from tests and other things for no apparent reason.
A lot of schools have special rooms and programs, filled with paraprofessional's (aids) and special people to help with accedemic work, outbursts, problems, anxiety, lots of different things.
It is fair, if it is what they need, and if they aren't capable of doing what you can do.
And they do have programs that send kids on field trips here, too... I'm in one. Its what they need sometimes.
We get paid every week we stay on after 5th year xD
I hate French, I never wanted to do it yet I still do it and put up with my bitch of a French teacher (legend has it she smokes crack and hides a dildo in her desk o_O) but it all pays off, I'm in the highest French class and I'm coping well.
Live with it, thats life...
In a few years you get to laugh at them all working in supermarkets and such. ^^
Crash
I've never read so much snobbery (on the first page of this thread) then I ever have in my entire life.
Anyways Laz-low, your obviously a smart guy so why pout about the here and now instead of smiling at the fact that your going too have a bright future. These people from your school thats having a laugh playing all these games, instead of being in classrooms they'll be seriously regretting it when they entire the big wide world. Because they'll just be feeling lost, and have no idea what too do with them selfs while your driving a Porsche.
its not fair but i guess the school gave the parents of those, shall we say "dumb" kids to shut up. ill tell u something unfair.
all my life here in nassau i've been going to a public school. so now i've finished my freshman year in high school (9th grade, damn the freshman hunt). so i applied to go to a really "posh" or fancy school around the corner from my house, which is really ironic. the day i did the entry test, the principle was like, because he was at government school, were gonna have to make him repeat his freshman year. aww hell no, was my thought at first, but i got talked into it. 3 weeks later they sent a letter saying they wanted ta put me in year 8, damn you rich people. so i went down there and asked her why. she goes, ur a year younger than the students in year nine and u didnt take a foreign language, (thoughts at the time, who gives a fuck). so i say i might aswell continue with public school
sorry for the long read
but that really isnt fair
