Sucks that in the Australian legal system children under 12 can't be charged even if they commit murder.
Where were the parent's when it happened?

I believe it's under 10 actually, though you could be correct. But yes, if they are under-age then the parents are the ones who get the punishment. Excellent. Idiot parents like that should not have children i the first place... Sadly i can say that to about 1/2 of our population.

The parents shouldn't get charged for what the physco kid did. He needs to be put into a foster home tbh.

But that is weird how he fed those animals to that croc.

What would a foster home do?

2 dogs, hell of a lot of iguanas, 17 chickens, a bunch of turtles.. All killed by some stupid boy. That's ridiculous.

Er, you're mixing up different stories under the one with the boy feeding the croc.

Regardless, little bastard needs a trashing of a life time...

    Re: Wow...

he should be named and shamed for what he did
reminds me of those 2 10 year olds who led a 3 year old boy out of the shopping center, cut the 3 year olds fingers off with scissors, tortured him, and stuck him on the rain way track to die.

THERE must be something wrong with the perants for the kid to think like that! seriously, i find it bad enough just locking up aminals in cages, like zoo's, so what gives this 7 year old the idea to kill all these animals?

He is 7, therefore he should be with his parents AT ALL TIMES. This means that there should NEVER be an incident like this happening because THEY should have been WATCHING HIM.

Yes it is absolutely 110% THE PARENTS fault.

He is 7, you REALLY want to ruin the rest of this child's life for not understanding what would happen if he threw an animal into a crocodile pit?

He has probably watched Crocodiles on TV at home. what happens when the crocodile attacks a deer? "What's he doing mummy?"
"nothing son, they are just playing".

Yes, they would, and i can almost guarantee this, tell him that the animals ARE JUST PLAYING.

Is that or is that not what a parent would say to a 7 year old child? YES IT IS. So are you STILL saying that he knew EXACTLY 100% what he was doing and that is was wrong? NO ABSOLUTELY NOT. So WHY should he spend the rest of his life being blamed for this after his name was publicly disclosed? And exactly what kind of psychological effects is public maiming going to do to a child of 7? We are a convict country, but we are not savages and morons like other countries.

    Rishwin...have you read this bit
He also bludgeoned three lizards to death in their pens.
Many children who grow up torturing animals grow up to be even worse, and less compassionate than an average human being. My 5 year old brother knew that it was bad to kill or hurt animals...he's 7, 1st grade... He should be thought a lesson, not criminally, but all blame should be placed on him. And yeah it's true we don't know all the facts, but he was still caught doing it on camera...so it's no one else's fault at the moment, nor will it change, unless he was forced to do it by someone else.

Children are children. They are naive, and do not understand or grasp concepts like we do.

When he was 5 my brother threw a rock bigger than his head at my pet rabbit. It squashed it. He had NO IDEA what he had done was wrong, he fully expected to play with it 10 mins later. Is he a twisted mastermind? Is he a troubled youth? No. He is 15 now and there is absolutely nothing wrong with him. At all.

People are idiots and do not realize that when a small child "tortures" an animal, MAYBE, just MAYBE they have no idea what they are really doing? Also, if a child of 7 years old IS torturing animals, WHERE DID THEY LEARN IT FROM? They OBVIOUSLY either watched their parents doing it, or they parents allowed them to watch it happen. Either way, it is still the PARENTS FAULT.

    Re: Wow...

Maybe if the child wasn't brought up to disturbed little prick he wouldn't of done it.
I for one think he should be punished, along with the parents, He knew what he was doing when he threw the animals in, he knew they would get eaten and killed...

But in Australia, we have 2 useless states... N.T, leeching scum with nothing to offer or give.
Tasmania, between Victoria and Tasmania broke off years upon years ago (well, the center sunk), wasn't a big enough hint? -.-

This happened in N.T, They dont know what a fence is...

    Re: Wow...

Is it wrong to find this sort of humorous. Also, killing animals, is usually a sign that a child may become a serial killer. I'd watch that kid.
