Dude... seriously...
My point was that some people here are lying, I obviously don't know who, all I know that it's being done. That doesn't mean I'm calling you a liar... Also why respond like this if you agree with me?
The reason why I find showing off like this is useless, is because there is absolutely 0 purpose to it, I mean if I wanted to look at random cars, then I would type that in Google and have my fun there.
I do understand why people want to show off the cool things they have, but the more expensive it gets, the more unbelievable it gets, which turns the topic in, well this.

It gets me from A to B.
Well they rebuilt the block, It really wasn't even expensive. All new heads or whatever, some place in Arlington did the work, and they did a nice job. My roommate fixed the rest. I want to get something else, just don't know what, and I really loathe car dealers. But we're keeping this car. My roommate will drive if it nothing else, it gets better gas mileage for back and forth to work than his truck does.
Recommend any car dealers that aren't too pushy? lol, I'm thinking I need to just go and sit in some vehicles to see which one I even want, then I can research where to get the best price etc. I always wanted a Jeep Liberty, but I found out they don't make them anymore as of 2012 I think. So I guess it won't be one of those. Oh just thinking about car dealers makes my stomach upset.
What kind is it? Looks like a pretty nice car to me.
'05 Ford Focus. Not a bad car, just hoping to buy a new one in the near future.
From an ex car salesman...:)
If you want to browse cars without being bothered by sales people constantly a few tips to get them to leave you alone....
A) Wear aloof clothing...IE: Sweats..T-shirt...old sneakers...sign you can't afford anything..I know it's shitty...but sales people look at what your wearing as a sign of what your going to buy...
B) Have a toothpick in your mouth...I know it sounds weird but you would be amazed at the amount of people after eating at a restaurant like to just walk around to settle their meal and window shop....sales people avoid people with a toothpick in their mouth.
C) Be honest up front...I'm not buying...just looking. Salespeople work on commision...so most won't waste time on someone who's just window shopping.
Most major dealerships have most of their cars locked up tight on the lot....inside they are unlocked and you are free to sit in them all you want...now smaller "tote the note" dealerships usually have all their cars unlocked outside...i know most of them are older and crap...but they always have a few on the lot that are a year old or newer.
As for the Jeep Liberty...there's a reason Dodge put it on hold...the engine was horribly underpowered for such a large vehicle and it rode horribly on the streets...very rough ride and cornered like an anchor..massive body roll...it was fun offroad but most people who purchase them don't even go offroad.
In 2014 an new Liberty will be hitting the market...it will be smaller and more aerodynamic and probably offer a better V6 option and an V8.

Oh you had me until the Ford part. Well I hope your Ford is better than any of the ones I had, Because I won't own a Ford ever again. Found on Road Dead was the best way to describe my Fords.
Jeep's website makes no mention of a 2014 Liberty (or a 2015), and they said they have discontinued them. The wording is not in a way like they are coming back ever. Their Grand Cherokee was remade totally, it looks more like a crossover now.
Thanks for the advice. I don't really understand what "tote the note" means. The toothpick thing was funny. Dressing down makes sense, I'm not really surprised. Last time I looked for a car, I went after hours and looked at them, peeking in windows. The problem is with some of the newer cars they look big on the outside, but are really tiny on the inside. Take the H2 / H3 for example - looks decent sized, but really cramped inside. So I think getting inside is key. Once I had it narrowed down to under three then I'd deal with test driving and all that. But this all sounds like work. Its too damn hot to go do this now, so maybe in a couple months. ;)
Agreed, most kids are full of shit.
Frankly boasting about a car is retarded. There are speed limits, so really who cares how fast it goes? I'd be more impressed by someone having an electric car, because at least that's a statement of giving a shit about the environment.
Seriously guys, spend your money on something more worthwhile.
So if someone is successful they are wrong if they purchase nice things with their earned money?
And how is it boasting if the OP asked what you drive? We are simply answering a question...
As for the speed thing...yes..in my case it comes in handy when those red and blue lights appear behind you...I can simply drop a few gears..twist the throttle and they disappear from my mirror....great...now you'll judge me for that.
It's a difficult question for me, I very much believe in free will and letting people do what they want as much as possible, and yet these big expensive cars tend to waste precious resources that frankly our society shouldn't be wasting. If I had the cash, I'd get a hybrid or electric in a heart beat. But I see people buying these expensive petrol and diesel cards, and I just think it's morally wrong. But hey, lack of morals tends to be an attribute of rich people, so I guess it's not surprising.
Kinda is boasting tbh. That's why kids tend to lie about it. You can easily boast while answering a question, not sure why you think otherwise.
I judge everyone :D, not sure what to judge worse, running from the police or wasting petrol. Tisk on both!
That's what I'm saving up for. I don't like the idea of finance because you're paying quite a bit more on top of the car, but if I get a couple of k deposit I think I wouldn't mind lol. The insurance is actually quite good on one too!

AHA Grasshopper...diesel is a by product of crude oil...pretty much trash left over from the distilling process...so it inself is somewhat eco friendly...it takes out the trash :)
I won't even bring up the diesel engines that run on leftover vegetable oil :)
One of my bikes gets more MPG that a Prius...62 to be exact...my CBR when I'm easy on it can pull a meager 38 MPG.
