For one thing, half of the footage in that video was taken before there even were any animal protection laws. That's like me using footage of 'Agent Orange' victims to compile an "anti biological warfare" video.
Spies? You honestly think that all of those people didn't know there was a camera in their face? That was exactly what i mentioned in my previous post - they simply take existing footage and cut and edit it for their own good. Additionally, PETA has been known to stage videos like these, just to get entire factories closed down. Hell, they've even blown up buildings in the name of animal protection.
Now like i said i only watched the first 2 minutes before i turned it off, but the commentary for castrating pigs was completely incorrect. They do not feel pain while it is being done. The entire reason they are squealing is because they are being held upside down, it is not because they are in pain. This goes for the clipping of the tails also, which is done for hygienic reasons - The pig feels a mosquito bite just for a second and that's it, which is why there wasn't any blood either. There simply aren't enough nerves in either the scrotum or tail to cause actual physical pain.
No i don't know what really goes on inside an abattoir. But with my fiance being a veterinarian nurse, i am very well aware that most things which they describe as "Excruciating ordeals", the animals in fact don't even notice it being done. The video producers know this, and they show people perfectly normal medical procedures in the hopes that people will in fact perceive it to be cruelty.
You honestly think that castrating a pig is cruel? Clearly you have never seen a human circumcision being done on a newborn baby. MILLIONS of babies have this done within 15 minutes of being born every single year, without anesthetic. Now where's the cruelty video for that?
