[Release] BDO Official Server files V795(2018)

Think now the source is posted we should put together it's own dedicated thread about it instead of it hiding away in a post in this thread, if someone want's to do that it would make things easier and keep this thread clean.

About these files tho, is there an API or official website released that we can run in conjunction with the files? I'd expect it would need work obviously but this section should get more popular with the releases coming out. At some point we should combine all the findings in a thread as well as any old clients, tools and information we find. Was very suprised to see BDO official files posted :)

The closest client we found to the source was the CBT NA/EU client, and even that has a bunch of issues and doesn't work out of the box. There were was no server data included, so one would have to probably alter this release in order to get a full set of working files.

The revision of the source is 204388, I can't remember if this rev is before or after the included code patch, but I do know the patch doesn't change it drastically. So you would need to find a client version around that number, and start there.

tl;dr to use the source, expect to put in a bunch of work.

Can share the the CBT NA/EU client?

I assume I need to install Microsoft SQL server for this, but I'm not sure what I should fill in for the SA password. Does anyone know that or better yet, do we have a tutorial for setting this up? Thx in advance.

for the sa password use any password you want.

As for tutorials look in the Black Desert Tutorials forum section - there are plenty there. Also, the corsair server downloads include installation/setup instructions.

The full-fledged ones in the Tutorials section are form the emulator era. I can't seem to find one for the official files, esp. these 795 files.

I take it that, by corsair server tutorial, you're referring to the one made by Ledie, right? I actually followed it to the point where I need to import the database. Not sure which ones in this 795 package I should use, I tried to boost it up without any, which obviously led to a failure (logs below). Any suggestions?

I've added "UID=sa" to world.dsn, but it's giving the same errors. I have tested that I can log in to the DB manually just fine, so maybe I'm missing something. Could you check my world.dsn (pasted below)?

So now the DB connection seems to be going through, but it results in a different error (pasted below). When executing the SQLs, I did notice an error with CH_JOY_BILLINGDB_0001.sql - Invalid object name 'PaPubPublic.uspAuthenticateAccount'. Not sure if that's relevant tho, where do you think I should go next?

I changed some things on service.ini i don't remember exactly what i changed and i deleted the files a few time ago.
try to use service.local.ini rename to service.ini.
