I currently run it with 32GB. 16gb should be doable but may cause some slowdown when swapping happens. You set that in the java command line args in gameserver\bin\gameserver.bat file like this:
set DEFAULT_JVM_OPTS="-server" "-Xms16g" "-Xmx32g" "-Xmn2g" "-XX:+UseParallelGC" "-XX:ParallelGCThreads=20" "-Xss256k"
-Xms##g is the start heap size (for me 16gb)
-Xmx##g is the maximum heap size (for me 32gb)

The ai seems to be happiest at that level for me.

Put your server on SSD. Swapping is due to slow HDD. I ran with 13gb ram on server and never experienced that.

Same, the HDDs are not the issue for me.

This helped me a lot, only have 16gb on the test PC,
i can use BDO without problems and i can also use Tera Server this way.

I don't even have HDDs installed in my rig, it's only SSDs. But I changed Xms to 4g and Xmx to 16g. Runs just as smooth but eats a lot less RAM. Is the player damage skewed though? I keep onehitting gray foxes on end. Already had to tone down the exp rates from the crazy 4000 to 100.

Should I clear data for every table or just accounts table? or I can just delete and extract the server files back from the winrar? thanks in advance sir.

And delete everything inside of data folder

i just finished shai awakening but my awakening skills are grayed out.

i also tried guardian, got the books to wear jordun right after char creation and also added manually using gm commands but still cant use jordun for awakening..

how to fix? :O

Can someone give info on what config files have been altered? Because the server seems extremely screwed. EXP rates are stupid high, I'm onehitting literally everything from the get go and I can't find the files for controlling damage multipliers. Does anyone have 100% vanilla rates and stats in their config files?

How do I use commands in the game? Neither the gameserver console or the ingame chat even recognizes the /help command. My accesslevel is 4, so I should have all commands ready.

Pearl shop items are also mostly korean. Aren't there translated files of those?

Another thing I can't figure out: How does one edit arrays in the databases? I want to add premium cash to the account but the cashinventory object in accountbag within my gameserver.accounts table is an array I cannot open or edit just like that.

The server eats about 23GB at unchanged settings. Had to cap it to 16 myself because I only have 32. If you don't have 32 yourself though, forget it. The server really needs 16GB at bare minimum. The AI gets super fucky at less than that and spawns too.
