I'm getting this too. Has anyone managed to solve it?
Edit: Some additional information. Using DevilSpeak's repack (
http://forum.ragezone.com/f1000/release-bdo-server-files-repack-1143141/)
The server parts appear to have started correctly, but I can't tell because I can't get the client to launch.
If I use Start64.bat I get "The file is corrupted" error, and if I use Start32.bat (did not expect it to work with everything else being 64 but tried eventually) and got failed to init security error.
I've been searching extensively on this site for this issue and it has been raised in a number of posts and the usual solution is to install xc files because of a XIGNCODE issue.
I'm looking for
a) Confirmation from someone who has been stumped by the corrupted issue and how they solved it. Funnily enough, one person did solve it, and then he came back and edited his post (
http://forum.ragezone.com/f1002/client-error-1148258/) but he did not mention how he solved it
and/or
b) An xc file that is confirmed to work with DevilSpeak's repack. I have found a few different xc files researching this issue but none of them helped. Not even sure this is the problem but it's another thing to try.
Some other things that did not work for me:
* Some people mentioned that they got the corrupted issue when they changed the IP in service.ini. I get the error regardless (so maybe not xc related)
* Tried putting bat file in same folder as exe (bin64)
* Tried repairing client with the OgreFest launcher. Didn't help
Btw, the OgreFest client does work on my machine, just not if I try to change it to run from a local server, so it's not a issue with my machine not being able to run the client at all.
Edit: I made some progress but still haven't gotten it working yet. Tip for others:
Even though a lot of posts from the last six months say you can use the client from the Ogrefest launcher, don't. Even with an xc file it won't work. I redownloaded the client using the torrent in DevilSpeak's thread, and now I'm able to launch the game (with the xc file added) only as long as the AUTHENTIC_DOMAIN value is 127.0.0.1. If I change it to 192.168.0.22, the local machine which is running the server, I get the file is corrupted error still. Has anyone made it past this?
Edit edit: Solved. I kept trying different xc files found in various threads and one of them eventually allowed the client to start with a value other than 127.0.0.1 in service.ini.
