OMG that is the actual missing pieces from the server :D Or at least a part of it :D Maps and bins :D its around 10GB :D

Guys, be careful with this as it isn't included in any of the wikis or anything (one of the Hero users on the Discord linked it), but this looks to be a bunch of i25 server files and data. Almost 4GB. I haven't had time to dig into CoH this week so if this is redundant with the torrents I'm sorry, but I think this is new stuff:

According to Discord these are the legit i25 files used to setup the server for the weekend. Dev will continue for i24 as that is what the source files are from but this latest MEGA link should be the easiest way to get a server up and running right now and should work with the tequila client. I saw a readme in there but it was just some drama stuff.

Also i am warning everyone that if you are using this use it on an isolated environment becouse we dont know if it has any backdoors or stuff yet...
Also its just binaries yet. Meaning there is no sources.
Update:
It. Is. Working. Good. And it does NOT need a nuclear reactor to run... in fact up until 5-6 people it uses about 2 GB of ram. On discord they say it is 8MB per people slot. Plus maps that loading with them...
(Note: Auth server is needed to play on lan. it wont work with FakeAccount mode)

Your welcome. Also there will be soon a tutorial how to make this work. It is not an out-of the box method. You can make an experimenting with it or you can wait for tutorial.
I must point out that this has NO source, so it is as it is. They are working on the Auth server, becouse we have problems with it(you can log in with a flatfile db, but that is working only from the same machine so no lan in that case.) But there will be a new tutorial, and a method to create accounts for auth base. until then you can only Single Player.(Despite that you NEED to setup an mssql server! Even if you are using flatfile.)
More details tomorrow.

I was able to successfully follow it and get my own localhost server running and able to do combat and quests. Confirmed working for Windows 10 x64, didn't need to use VMWare or install anything except SQL Express 2017 and SMSS.

I did too, i even tell you a more suprising thing, i have an old intel dual core, with 5gb ram, and it is working on it!!! XD OK at the map loading this is a bit sluggish but it is working on this config too :D It is not recommended, i just must point out that this would not need any huge server metal for just few people...

Check the 'data\server\db\commands.cfg' to see the list of GM commands
It also lets you use /mmm which is a GM Menu

isvip (Changes account to be VIP)

Find //MapServerParams "-debug" and change it to MapServerParams "-nopopup" to make the map popups less annoying. Apparently it removes the script errors when entering certain door missions.

On the Score.exe shortcut you use as a client just remove the '-console' if the cmd prompt that opens annoys you.
Just put the .Bat file in the same folder as the DBServer and Launcher shortcuts

Apparently the file (account_server.cfg) is actually misnamed; it should be auction_server.cfg in the '\\data\server\db' folder. Found by Discord user, haven't tested.
EDIT:
It looks like 'self' is an accepted parameter for GM Commands instead of Player Name, example:

New info: Put the line Transient 1 line in maps.db for the zones you want to shut down when idle. Otherwise idle cleanup just compacts the working set but doesn't shut down the map.

Also we dont have the source for the working I25 server, only binaries, so the source is only for I24. What is broken yet.
AND: THere are issues must be fixed, for example the map server is not accepting external LAN connections not even from VPN...
there are smaller issues like base building that has some problems, some quest bugged but very few.... and ect ect... what will be fixed in i24 but this working server is I25 so no source. Sadfully :D So the more intresting source will be the earlyer I24 :D
Oh and: @DevilSpeak it is an epic game we were waiting for some kind of relase like this for more than a Decade now :D It is almost a legend :D Its from a time before microtransactions and the biggest concurence was wow for this game :D it was one of the best games at the time :D It was subscription based, but if you bought it you had all the content :D

So I've been all over this thread trying to help and I have a confession - I never played City of Heroes! But my friends loved it. I'm glad we were able to all help each other out and make it work in less than one week :)
Based on the insane popularity of the Discord (I think a few thousand people are playing right now) we should definitely create a section for this game.
In the mean time, I'll set up a server and play CoH for the first time :)
EDIT: OH! And for those of you who want to enable ULTRA SPOON FEED MODE, here's a torrent of a pre-configured VMware VM image from the CoH Discord :)
3. Once inside of Windows on the VM - Start Menu -> start dbserver -> start launcher

This runs great - gave it a good play through for the last day and so far everything seems to work nicely. Playing locally with the auth server run's pretty smoothly, little waiting on map loads but nothing major at all. Looking forward to the section.

You have a misconfigured MSSQL Database in config files.You have to have a server, with an user configured for password authentication and external connection configuration enabled.

The most urgent thing with this source is solving the ip and NAT problem... For example: despite that in the source all IP is on my vpn, regardless who is connecting, always the server's physical ip gets to pass the clients, and they cannot connect... somehow we need to make the DBserver to pass on the VPN ip to the mapservers, and the mapservers to the clients... So in current state: Unless if your friends not directly on your physical network, you wont play with anyone else...

As shown in the instructions? I did set up the MSSQL as instructed, with the same sa user and the password is just password, in all 4 of the files asked to change. Is there a step in the instructions that are missing?
Digging into the error code online I may have some potential fixes to try. Will update later in case anyone else gets this issue

I've gone deep into the GM commands and found out how to get a full list of all Badges. I've compiled this list of all the badges that give/unlock something.
Any chance you know where I could find similar info for Salvage names?

@LastKnownHero have you tried using trusted connection (windows authentication) instead of "sa"? In servers.cfg try to change your SqlLogin to this:

Incase anyone wants to do this too. What you need to do is login to your character. Go into '/mmm'
and browse to 'Debug Menu > Design Testing > Character Change > Save Character To Common Folder' which then saves your character as a .TXT file in your client folder ':\\CoH\characters\common'. This file has all your characters information including badges, inventory and power information.
I was able to find the syntax of 'S_' and then went through the 'https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Salvage' wiki and one by one added each Salvage, confirming each one in the list worked. You can also do '/rw invention all' which gives you 10 of each salvage item.

OK so:
Arena server is starts up, however there are all map files missing, and/or not capable the server to load them or create them to bin. If you enter a map you will fall into nothingness...(IN arena not only pvp, it is a coop and a pve missions too, but you cannot access them.)
Files that it cannot load:
arenamaps.bin - > it is there but not loading up(checked the bin it has the required maps and txt files but nope)
arenaschedule.bin -> This file is completely missing
Arena is a very big part of the game... From there you can start coop missions "dungeon" like quest ect...

I'm trolling around for this as well. Managed to get pretty much everything else going (Any luck with turnstile or account?) Are you trying with the bins floating around or did you build your own?

With I25 there is no source... only the prebuild stuff... so i24 is not working at all, only the I25 binary only relases..

Aye. I'm gonna go back to working with the Issue 24 files instead. Seems to be alright to get intimate with the i25 files for fun but ultimately they'll get replaced with bins from the source since nobody can make any changes to those bins.

Very handy, thanks. I managed to figure out quite a few of them but there are a few that were tricky for me (particularly with endgame stuff).
I also discovered that there's one piece of Invention salvage that's broken, but also what fixes it. The "Ensorcelled Weapon" has a typo in the code. It's showing up as "s_enscorcelledweapon" for those that need it.

The wors that i tried make this work, was a server with 2+ core and at least 2-4 gb ram... I did tryed just for fun in a dualcore system with 5gb ram and a very low specs gpu (nvidia gt 730 1gb ram)and both the game and the client was working well... slow, but it was working.ON THE SAME MACHINE!!!!
BUT if you are want to serve larger scale of people... Well for the server needs lots of ram... One main city is around 700 mb. One player per slot is 8-15 mb..
So i would say that a reccommended for server is a 4 core machine with 5-6 gb ram. For around 50 people, but the ram is not specific... More the better... If there is only one people in it it consumes for about 300 mb alone. And this rate is exponentially increases as you progress ingame... Main cities ariund 700 mb and smaller maps just 50-100 mbytes
But there is no specificed sysreq....
My system is ws2012r2 8 core 12gb for server. On the server there is no need gpu... The client will run on any older systems capable dx9-8 or on a relatively older nvidia cards
However. IF you are manage to edit and setup your server to make mapserver to start all main cities/map simultaniously, then you will need about 32gb of ram, Plus peoples who connect.

Turns out that fixing the annoying script error that halts your loading when you enter certain door missions has another step. First you need to have:
//MapServerParams
set as:
MapServerParams "-nopopup"
In the servers.cfg in ':\\CoH\data\server\db'
Then you need to ALSO add it to the client shortcut you use. So example it would look like
"E:\CoH Client\Score.exe" -db 127.0.0.1 -patchdir score -noversioncheck -project "coh" -nopopup
This makes it so that you don't have to keep clicking 'Ok' on script errors when you're using a character with high access level.

Of course! I did it on a AMDX2 Athlon 3Ghz Dualcore, with 5GB ram. AND i played and hosted on the same machine... so...
You need a good GPU... only for the client. Nothing else. On dualcore you might experience slower map loading but thats all...

If you're still having resolution issues and Alt+Enter isn't working, there are two parameters you put into your client shortcut.
-screen 800 600 -fullscreen 0
Source is in that also.(written in Delphi 7) there is compiled one, just copy the exe and the launcher.ini to the client's folder(where is score.exe) Start the COH_LAUNCHER_2.exe and setup the settings in settings tab(or compile the launcher for yourself. You decide.)

If you are put the def file into the folder, the raid server starts, however if you restart the server the DB serwer will crash. It will only start if you remove DEF folder. So if you are copying the def file and starting raid server AFTER the server booted it will work... however if you are restarting the server it wont work... the whole server.
Update: If you are making a separate folder and copy the server files and create the def files you can use the raid server as separate, but i dont know if it will work correctly or not...

IF you play alone or with 6-10 people the page file is not needed , just about 6-8 gb ram. But if you want to load all maps at once like in a real live server; you *will* need a 32 gb as bare minimum ;)

Spawn rate? Difficulty you mean? It is in the game, speak with a field trainer or press the little chat button on bottom left and set notority level group to 1 people and to -1 difficulty if you playing alone... If that is you mean... This game is totally works with solo gamers too without any config fiddling...

AN UPDATE: I started with a 40GB pagefile on C: Drive with ALL maps (you can do this with dbserver64.exe -zonelaunchers 1 -startall)

I get this all day with a compile guide i created for Last Chaos.
It's literally color coded, install dirs, setup dirs, mysql everything
i even created an install script for linux side for LC, yet still begged for help haha.

I've managed to get everything running (still working out the cashshop display) for a nice i24 retail exact repack - assuming we ever get a section.

No worries, I got like 13-20GB of files from the various leaks and shares over the first two weeks. I'm not touching my files for awhile and I'm definitely not touching the git repo unless they turn it around.
So the files should be safe. I backup to a second drive and also mirror to Backblaze so I'm pretty redundant over here lol.

It will never loose, i already had them write on bluray. :P So... I also have a fully working I25(OK it is not 100% queue server has some issues but other than that it is works well. Also my upload speed is capped around 2MB so that is the value that distributes with all downloader, so thats why i am asking to share with each other if someone has it too.

I broke down and installed discord. I hate it.
Anyhow.
The story on accountserver is that I pay waaaaaaay to much attention to every change. I'm ranting about a changing in process in my above posts - I talked to the devteam working on the source and though they didn't know there was a problem, the code is under heavy dev from Searge. I assume after he's done it will once again recreate data as intended (assuming it's not replaced since all it does aside from the cashshop is shard transfers, and in my case I wanted to use to to setup new toons - that was something else that came up in our discussion).
The long story short - all the cashshop functionality will come out (like the i25 release). The only things left for it to do will be shard transfers (which again will be replaced with something else on the backend) and item distribution/reward which also get moved elsewhere.
So basically I'm probably freaking out over nothing but still keep yer stuff. :)
