I tried the loop back adapter, still no good. Also when I set my ip address to the loop back adapter ip. Tells me failed to connect to server. If I set it back to 192.168.200.128 I get server under maintenance. Really lost at this point. Also as a reminder. I am trying to set this up without VM.



Anyone have any suggestions?

All services in app state show all stable. Just can't login with Client.

Having issues getting this VM to load
downloaded both. placed in folder d:\blah\blah
using VMWare Workstation Pro 16
Windows 11 as Host (fresh install, not an upgrade)
AMD 5800x with MSI x570 Unify board. SVM is enabled. Core Isolation is enabled on OS. Norton is excluding the folder in which the vmdk files live.
If I attempt to load the vmdk file and select 'moved' it blue screens and crashes both the vm and my host.

if i create a VM from scratch using an ISO i get to the point of being able to install.
Using the older 2017 image just sees those vms end up in a boot loop.

any help on what may be going on with the 2020 VM or my setup?



resolved: had to drop the processors and cores 1. then it booted fine.

Did you check your App-state if its working properly? Or the SpawnSvr is running on the services? I think that is your problem.

I am all set now thanks ! Just add to add my physical default gateway to the VM ip adapter and then logging in was quick and smooth.

Are you planning to use the VMWARE on the first page? If so, the server files are based on 2020 BNS. This one is pretty good.Have most stuff.

Yes i run this VM and its work good .
I check already that client from them discord its old realise from first leak long time ago.
I use this Vietnamese client but there is missing english translating so so .

Hey Everyone,

So I am wondering if I am doing something wrong when it comes to sending items. Once I start using the send item a couple of times , after awhile it will start sending greyed out items. It get's to a point that I can not even buy items in the HM without them becoming invalid. This my second time starting from a fresh VM. At first everything I send works well but after some time the servers starts making items invalid that I send to my character. Any suggestions?

I'm a bit out of the loop. I read the whole thread and downloaded the initial two files.
I'm not sure how to run/use them. I downloaded VMWare and upon clicking the BNS_2020.vmdk I get this:

-edit- seems I was using Player instead of Workstation Pro and trying to open the .vmdks instead of the .vmx

U need two of virtual hdd in one vm in your case.
In basicaly me unpack 1st archive and 2nd in one folder and in vmware attach vm into it

Well my first issue was not being familiar with VMWare, so I didn't understand how to use the files I downloaded.
After a couple days trying things, I managed to get everything working, I was just VERY lucky things worked without extra steps. There are many extra steps suggested in the thread such as editing the config ips, or the windows network IPv4 that were unnecessary.
For anyone else interested in playing blade and soul single player here's what worked for me.

Server Setup:
Downloaded both files from OP
Extracted bns to C:\BNS
Extracted BNS_2020_files.vmdk into C:\BNS
Deleted the BNS_2020.vmdk.lck folder in C:\BNS
Vmware Workstation Pro - Edit - Virtual Network Editor
Change setting - Add network - wmnet7 - subnet ip - 192.168.200.0 - apply - ok
Open a Virtual Machine - C:\BNS\BNS_2020.vmx
BNS_2020 - setting - network adapter - Custom - wmnet7 - ok
Power On BNS_2020 then ping 192.168.200.128 from host to confirm connection is working
Client Setup:
Downloaded Matar's translated client on page 1
Extracted to C:\BNS_Client
Executed Start64.bat
Login with Account: test@ncsoft.com | Password: 123456
Connect with Navicat - sql server - host:192.168.200.128 - username: sa - password: Lee4056

There is information in the thread to give yourself Premium and Premium Currency although you really won't need the currency if you use the SendItem tool.

As for using the SendItem tool, sometimes mail will bug out. It was suggested to use the ReplaceItem tool, however that doesn't change the bug status, it's a different item, but still bugged. To fix this use Navicat - B1game - GameWarehouseDB - WarehouseItem and change your ItemState from 4 to 1. I get less bugs using the SendItem tool at the login screen, since you have to relog to see the mail ingame anyways.

If you send yourself something you can't sell or delete Navicat - B1game - GroceryProperty is the inventory database, you can find your PCID in Navicat - B1game - CreatureProperty

You can edit your exp in Navicat - B1game - CreatureProperty

At Lv60/HM50 the current server files have been edited to GM Stats, it kind of breaks the game since everything dies in one hit you can't fight with combos anymore. You can correct this or adjust it yourself in D:\Server\GameDaemon\data\masteryabilitydata.xml

That should be enough to have a complete single player experience.
This version of BnS has five third specs: Blade Master, Kungfu Master, Destroyer, Assassin, and Force Master.


I still have one question though. There are around 50 test accounts, I tried logging into one and deleting the characters ingame. This doesn't remove entries in the database, it just adds a Deletion Time entry.
I don't think I can simply select the rows and delete them from the tables. They might be linked in other tables. Such as Faction. If I delete 30 characters this way I might have 30 "ghost characters" in Crimson Faction making it difficult to join on new characters. Is there a way to cleanly do this? Ideally I'd like an empty database except my single user account to minimize disk space usage and search times when editing things.
