999 Ping and Agent Errors

Hi everyone, i know it's noob to ask these questions but i ask them anyway.

I'm hosting a private server with my personal computer... I turned off all the shits that could make others lag (firewall anti viruses etc). So i open matchserver, my friend connect, we can talk without text lag, but when we start a game he got blackscreen and i see him but he has tghe lag logo over him and there's agent error. I already got Agent Error fix and ports opened... so what should i try now?

Edit: Do i need to just create a network and get friends to connect to it?

i made a Hamachi networks me and my friedns conected but still 99 ping and agent errors... when they play alone its perfect

the connection goes like this:

---You----Your friend---- other friend----

Good connection (porst opened)
Bad connection (did not open the ports)

if one of your friends does not open the right ports you wont be allowed to play i mean if some of them just install and does not open the port it will get Agent error since the connection does not goes through them and others do not get connection as well, since it stop on that guy who did not open the ports.

yes, so my firend have to forward the ports too? with Legacy we didnt needed to di it, but anyways okay i will ask him to open 6000 and 6001

double post powaaa!!!!! lol thank you alot, but is it possible to open a port without a router?

I don't have a solution. If I wanna play without AE I unplug my router.

RoA, I just wonder why port forwarding this ports worked for me. Maybe because there're loads of routers, and there could be a chance that many people in the world do not have the same router you have o.o'
