    About: SOURCE

    Hello everyone,

I haven't been here on the forums in such a long long time and I see everyone is talking about 'source'.
The time I had my server running I never heard about it. I've got a server ready to be running here with a folder called source with a lot of anti-hack, source code and all .cpp files etc.
I'm posting this thread because I couldn't find any clear explanation about this. How do I add these things to my server? Is there a thread which explains all? Thanks in advance!

If you already can't get your grip in simple reading something? CPP files it are the base files of the source duuh? do you even know C++ or C? i gues not if i hear your story. if i were you i just shouldn't botter with the gunz source then just take a old 2008 client and server files.

You're right. No clue in C++ and not interested. Tho there are no 'clean' 2008 releases that work..

Edit: Used to have a 2008 client but it had this awkward input lag feel that feels like auto-uc.

Listen mate if you want 2008 Source I can give it to you when I get home, I'm at the college at the moment (Dawson gave it to me long time ago).
now for what you've said in your thread, you seem to never heard about "source", in shortcut, every game you play on your PC, is built with source code, usually it's C/C++ .. and to add anti-hack / stuff to your game, you need to edit the source and rebuild the executable file, in that purpose you need to have the source code. that's why you hear alot of source source source ..
