There are many alternatives, and they are not hard to find :), as our friend Dragz mentioned.

You'll have to buy a web host with DDoS protection. There's no web script available that will protect you from DDoS.

You have several options:
- Buy a DDoS protected proxy tunnel and route your HTTP traffic through that. (Will only protect you of attacks against your domain name.)
- Buy a DDoS protected VPS or dedicated server. (Will protect you of attacks against all ports.)
- Use Cloudflare / Incapsula. (Will only protect you of attacks against your domain name.)

A basic "anti-DDoS PHP script" will not stop it since at that point the DDoS traffic already reached your server.

If you need help on a DDoS protected host, you can search at Web Hosting Offers - Web Hosting Talk. But let me tell you one thing, it wont be cheap.

If you have hardware firewall that you bought and not the company giving it to you with the vps than you can make new signature and to block methods attacks by your self, I think you never saw a real hardware firewall.

True, however, I've seen threads where people complain that OVH their "vacuum" firewall is blocking legitimate users. But hey, apparently it's in a BETA period so I guess they have to fine tune it.

The question will be, how flawlessly will it be with GunZ and its UDP protocol.
