Hello, can anyone provide me with a free open source anti cheat for gunz, and a guide on how to install it into gunz. thanks!

twp8888 i'm not sure if someone ever released an opensource anti-hack, i know there're some free anti-hacks out there. Like lambda's release: http://forum.ragezone.com/f245/relea...-1-0-a-448198/

The links are dead but im sure there is someone out there who has the antihack. This is a quote from lambda on how to install his version 2 of his DeX antihack which is also released here on the forums.

* FIRST, DELETE ALL DATA FROM THE DEX 1.x VERSIONS, YES, THIS INCLUDE THE [DEXPARAMETERS] SECTION AT YOUR server.ini
* Download the SERVER package
* Unpack it.
* Now you will see 4 folders, MD5 Tool, Client EXE Patcher, MatchServer and ClientDLL
* First, go to the Client EXE Patcher folder and open the Client EXE Patcher.exe file, then click select button and find your Gunz.exe client file (theduel.exe or anything else), i recommend you to make a backup of the file before.
* Click Patch EXE Button, well, now your Client Runnable is ready to run DeX Anticheat.
* Close the Client EXE Patcher window and now, go to the ClientDLL folder, this folder contains 2 files, fmod.dll and dexclientchecker.dll, this two files make you able to install the DeX Client if not installed, copy the two files to the root of your GunZ Client folder, replacing the existing fmod.dll (make a backup before)
* Run your GunZ Runnable, if all is going well, a msgbox will appear asking you if you want to install the DeX Client, click yes, now it will download the Client and install it.
* Then, go to the MatchServer folder (the one of the downloaded package), copy all files of this folder and paste them in your MatchServer Folder (make a backup of your matchserver folder first)
* Configure the server.ini with your parameters.
* Run your matchserver.
* Go to your Client folder and run your executable.
* Play your server with DeX Anticheat.

I can't give you other links beceause those anti-hacks are not released on ragezone and i would get an infraction for advertising but use google and you'll probably find it.

Nobody aksed you for your opinion, why would you even dare to say it sucks, if you're the one that asks for a free anti-hack. Just respect ragezone's developers instead of being an ass. Thanks!

I hate to say this but skywind is right. Having no anti-cheat is as good as having DeX.

Oh lord. Rapeguard had no running segment checks, all I had to do was NOP the call to gettickcount and JMP past a few other things in the DLL and it was 100% bypassed. Not to mention on the sever end of things, it's handler Interlude was notorious for memory leaks and 100% CPU consumption.

Please don't ever call rapeguard good again.

Right and If someone make opensource anti-hack they will make a hack.. so dont release opensource = better ;)
