I also have this problem, I hope someone helps.
:D hi - 5 , and ignore JuanMedina
The link is invalid? And I dont really understand what your problem is ?
Let me explain the problem. Here's what I did.
1. Inside the gunzweb > GunzUpdate folder are the client files/files to be updated.
2. I generate a patch.xml (deleted the existing first) using the zpatchbuilder.
3. Removed zpatchbuilder's patch node because it's not needed.
4. I try to replace the current system.mrs with an old one to test if it patches to a new one.
5. After patching, the usual invalid crc/firewall appears.
6. Inside the client folder, there is a PATCH folder that is created.
7. Inside it is what bunny1995 also has. (system.mrs_)
So...
The file from the GunzUpdate folder downloads perfectly but does not patch/overwrite the current one. This problem only happens when patching mrs files. Other files like dll or the runnable patches normally.
@Trilest: He replaced the link's website url to ourip.
@Ricobob: Delete the PATCH folder and the old system.mrs, including the patch.xml from the client folder. (not update server)
I tried that many times and still doesn't work. The PATCH folder was created "after" the launcher patches so it was not in the client folder originally.
Edit..
Some more info.
I'm using Xiao's Launcher and the runnable from _System32_'s rev5 sticky. Xiao's runnable exits automatically after the launcher for me.
rename your theduel.exe to gunz.exe, and patch it with ur ZPatchBuilder and thats all
I had mine fixed already.
Solution: Download a new Launcher that uses HanAuthForClient.dll etc. (dlls my old launcher doesn't have), properly hexed it and used theduelZpatchbuiler. Result is a working auto-updating launcher.
