Boosting EXP (EXP Event or w.e)

    Hey all,

I never tried this before so I was wondering about having a weekend exp boost on my server. Basically I was wondering how I can do this without restarting the matchserver, I believe there is a way, maybe SQL based?

If someone could just let me know I'd be really greatfull :P

    Cheers

All i know is this is done threw formula.xml. You have to restart the matchserver..

but i believe in event.xml if you can code it. you can do it..

    im not sure though.

I beileve so far this is proven impossible as no one as ever tried it, you could be the first though if you can get a pro php coder to work with you.

Apart from the restarting part, you've got the Exp Event configured for weekends? If so, could you tell me how? Please.

Would be nice to do it like that, but without restarting the matchserver, somehow :P

Nah, haven't even done that, just thought it would be good, as i know it's possible, possibly through mssql, to do this, even automated possibly, like ijji once did, would be a nice touch, I'll look into it in a day or 2 when i get the time, atm I got alota college so sorry :p

Ooh and also, to those who said just restart the server, I never do unless I have too, It just doesn't seem professional :p

yeah, you're best bet is to do it with the eventlist.xml or w/e. I'm not too sure, but I think that should work. I'm pretty sure that's how ijji does it. Whenever they have a maintenance, they put in dates ahead of time that will have the exp event, so that they don't have to restart their servers afterwards. I'm pretty sure they do all this during maintenance, or any other reason they go down.
