[BRGunZ] Cannot Access Server

    [BRGunZ] Cannot Access Server

    Hey guys,

    I just recently started implementing the server and client files for BRGunZ and now I have ran into a problem:

    The locator acts weird from what I see. When the Match Server isn't up, it says its up. It updates fine and syncs w/ the Match Server.

    Here's the problem...

    I can't connect to my server. No, it's not the zitem because it takes 2-3 seconds for the connection to fail. The Match Server doesn't say anything about invalid checksums either... so any ideas? Yes, my port 6000 is open... I checked it with "Shields up!!" (google it if you want)

    On your database, make sure you entered the right IP into the table "dbo.serverstatus" and the type must either be 2-3 is using quest server or type 4 for clan (must also match with "test" or "clan" in server.ini in matchserver folder)

    My theory:
    My match client and BR client aren't getting along... looking at the CHECKSUM ERROR of the packets.

    Are you running the server from your computer?

    I portforward the following to be sure all gunz data can come through (this is my setup)
    tcp 6000-9000
    udp 7000-9000

    be sure when you forwarded the ports, you forward them on your LANIP
    to get LANIP
    start>run>"cmd" without the "" and type "ipconfig" without the ""
    the line that says "IP ADDRESS" = LANIP, NOT DEFUALY GATEWAY

    Yes I am running my server from my computer.

    I just port forwarded 6-9k both TCP and UDP. I'll test it again now.

    I dont see anything wrong with the mlog (also 3am so could be wrong"
    I think its something simple as not all ip's are matching

    be sure the ip is the same in the following files, locations
    server.ini (matchserver) locator.ini (matchserver or locator folder) system.xml inside your system.mrs, serverstatus table in db, THEY ALL MUST MATCH

    When port forwarding, always use your LANip

    Whn using ip for gunz, use WANIP

    if you are using the br client, when you change the system.xml with your ip, did you update teh filelist, otherwise it wont show the correct ip to connect to

    It's your filelist.xml you need to generate it, read the log more closely.

    Well since the servers dont show up ^^...You should try downloading quest server,event server,clan server from one post where all of them use different ports..now put Quest server(like MatchServer) into your server files and the quest servers ini file configure it and everything should work >.>
