Cannot HexEdit Launcher (-_-)
Hello.
I tried to hexedit a launcher to get my IP correct because my anti-virus deleted my original launchers so I downloaded new ones and when i hexedit and save, it saves weirdly. I try to run it and it says it's not a valid win32 application.
Anyone help? Probably a nub problem.

Why not just replace the old one with the new one, turn off your Virus protector.

if you hex'd somthing the first time saved it and it did that, its because you screwed up.
You always make backups of the previous launchers :)
That launcher is the original one and I hex'd it and saved it as a newname.exe but it came up like that so I was like >=(
Maybe you used backspace during hex'ing ?

I've tried hex editing 5+ times.. I don't think I made a mistake.. >_>

Seems pretty right to me.
You did not use the same amount of bytes for the replacement of your IP.
That's your mistake.

Bytes are the data.
In the unedited launcher, you'll see the IP is a certain length,your IP you replace is shorter then that.
Anyways, you might be saving it wrong, been to long since I used Hex workshop not 100% sure bout this but
1.Make sure its saving as "executable file"
or if thats not there (or doesn't work)
2.Make the save type "All file" and type the .exe extension.
Also, for the AV deleting it, either disable it while your working on GunZ, or get a new one.

You're resizing the executable, which fucks up all the relocates; replace the IP address (e.g. 123.456.789) with your desire IP address, and if there are any bytes left over, null-terminate them using the HEX-view of the characters (e.g. 123.456.789 replaced with 127.0.0.1, then for the character after the second "1", put "00"; thus, a NUL-byte).
OMFG! Thank you so much both of you. I replaced the ip with 127.0.0.10000 because it was kinda long. Thank you. I will remember that null-byte thing for future reference. ;D

What you did for fix it ?
I did the same and I got right now a new gunz launcher but I cant open him... I edit the IP as the guide says to my WAN IP and saved ,what I did wrong ?
