change ports

hmm okay..

so i am sick of DMZ Mode and i disable it

and i opened all the ports myself

and when i go in the login screen..

i see the Server but it says Cant acess server.

so i think my ISP Could have Blocked the ports/

i was thinking could i change the ports of the MS (i think there is a file called port.txt?)

so could i change the Ports of the Locator,MS,MA Without asm? lol (if u could give me those lines XD)

Just open both TCP and UDP if you are unsure.

port.txt:

1010 1010

This changes the port of MatchServer to 1010.

Mind me asking why you are "sick of DMZ mode"

There is no reason to fear wide open ports, without a vulun appies on that port no one has entry, not like just because you have an open port people can get into your system.

Nonono I Just said, having all ports open is NOT a high risk so long as you're not binding vulun apps to those open ports.


Also, you can DDoS A home line offline even if all of their ports are closed. Darn blackhat hackers =[

if i edit the ports of the MatchAgent do i edit MatchAgent.exe?

or client sided too

just wondering cause i dont have to edit client when i change THE port of the MS

If you want to edit the MatchAgent's port, change it in the AgentConfig.xml and go HERE and enter your Agent's new port in the "Decimal field" and make note of the converted value which is in Hexadecimal.

Now, open up MatchServer in Olly -> Hit Ctrl + F -> Search for "PUSH IE61" and change "1E61" to the Hexadecimal value you of your new port which you just obtained above.

If you want to change the Locator's port, change it in the locator.ini and then open up your runnable in Olly -> Hit Ctrl + F -> Search for "PUSH 22C4" and change "22C4" to the hexadecimal value of your new port, using the same converter.

Follow these 2 steps and you're done. I'm not quite sure if any client edit is required for the change in the Agent's port because I couldn't find anything.
