Clan War and Quests in the same server

Hi.

I've seen LGKeiz' thread where he just put OWS work on how to make this possible in a BR/Jan server.
First, I'd like to ask: are the Jan files previous to the June Server/Runnable (the Xiao one that most people use) or did they come afterwards (the 2008 files everyone loves to talk about)?

Because if it is the second case, I'll just give up on this project, since the people that already have it will probably keep it for themselves for a while for a reason I don't understand (I seriously don't. If I could get things like that myself and make them work, I would just share. Not use them in my uber powerful server and not let anyone else have it). But anyway.

If it's the first case I'd like to know if anyone else made it work, besides TrinityGunz. Or I'd like to ask someone from the TG staff to help me with that. You can call me a leecher if you want... But well, I know a lot of stuff about servers and most of what I've done, I worked myself to get it. Getting CW and Quest in one server is one of those things I can't do.

Anyway... That's what I'd like to have solved from someone who actually knows more about this.. If it's possible for me to use the Jan files or if there's a way to get CW and Quest to work on the June server.

Unless you know SQL, ASM, and probably C/C++, you can't do it,

Gunz does all the commands right? And when Gunz request the commands, MatchServer responds to the said command. It then stores (if any information on said commnad) to GunzDB.

Anyway, you will have to edit theduel.exe, MatchServer, & the database.
Look into test.txt, and GunzOld: http://forum.ragezone.com/f245/relea...st-txt-219398/
Find some suspicous looking functions, find them in your runnable, edit them.
On MatchServer, find a thread that someone dumped Matchserver, and find the address of the function you edited in theduel.exe and do it in matchserver. SQL is pretty much english, so just look around.
This is the best answer you will get, unless whoever did it on whatever server comes in and tells you.

Well, the way I've been thinking off probably just needs editing in MatchServer.exe
It's the way OWS got it to work with the BR/Jan Matchserver, where it's a CW server and Quests are added in each channel in channelrule.xml

I'm guessing this is also the way TrinityGunz makes this work, since I noticed the little circle next to the server name is yellow, indicating the Locator is saying it's a Clan War server, although it has quests in it. I just found the server files for BR/Jan posted by System32 and will be looking for a decent runnable.

Then I'll let you guys know if OWS' way to do it works and give a step-by-step.

If it doesn't work, back to looking for it.

Edit: nevermind... the BR/Jan serverfiles I download were exactly the same thing as the ones I downloaded from the June thread. LOL
And no success. :(

i can tell you its done by matchserver and client apprently the matchserver is the easy part
and it also make it very unstable

What do you mean by unstable? Is it necessarily like that? Because TG, aside from the multiple hackers trying to disconnect it throughout the day, is pretty stable. So was Legacy, as far as I can remember.

He has the "do it yourself" policy and I agree until certain extent, but I like sharing whatever I get done :P

So I was wishing someone else was gonna come here, see this and actually give some minor tips. I might not know anything about C# and my ASM knowledge might be really small but I have people close to me to help out, so I guess if I could have a clue on how to start it would already help.

Phail talking about his server's stability would be welcome if he would also say something to help others besides telling everyone how he got everything 100% and how much he rocks.
