Color changing

Alright. normally I wouldn't ask for help but oh well. I asked 2 other people who I thought would be able to help me, but they didn't know =/. I used Sulfins little short guide he posted in another thread, IE

get a hex editor, search gunz for

80 80 80 FF 00 00 FF FF 00 FF 00 FF FF 00 00 FF
00 FF FF FF 00 00 80 FF 00 80 00 FF 80 00 00 FF
00 80 80 FF FF FF FF FF

then change it to whatever you want

^0 = 80 80 80 FF (grey)
^1 = 00 00 FF FF (red)
^2 = 00 FF 00 FF (green)
^3 = FF 00 00 FF (blue)
^4 = 00 FF FF FF (yellow)
^5 = 00 00 80 FF (dark red)
^6 = 00 80 00 FF (dark green)
^7 = 80 00 00 FF (dark blue)
^8 = 00 80 80 FF (dark yellow)
^9 = FF FF FF FF (white)

so to change red to blue, you would change

80 80 80 FF 00 00 FF FF 00 FF 00 FF FF 00 00 FF
00 FF FF FF 00 00 80 FF 00 80 00 FF 80 00 00 FF
00 80 80 FF FF FF FF FF
to
80 80 80 FF FF 00 00 FF 00 FF 00 FF FF 00 00 FF

or if you want bright blue, then it would be
80 80 80 FF FF FF 00 FF 00 FF 00 FF FF 00 00 FF

But when I hex edited the launcher and changed it to another color code it shows up as the default. So, if I were to change Red to...Purple it will still show up as red ingame. Not really sure what im doing wrong either XD tried it with other color codes and the other preset colors still messed up.

i think that you are changing the default client color, i never have changed the colors of the codes, i think all of the color codes are near.

I changed the gunzlauncher and gunz.exe O.o I think I read that thats the place your supposed to change the codes I can't remember. I don't know where else to change it =/

You tried it? I know it's the right method lol, because both Wizkid and T6 backed him up. Im probably just putting it in wrong idk.

idk =/ I edited the gunz.exe and after that didn't work I did the launcher to >.<
